I have a lot of save files, and stripping mods from skyrim can be destructive for them. I was using 254 mods, I'm currently using 251 mods (with my new characters), the thing that really bugs me, is that skyrim was stable, now it's a mess. I've been using this exact load order for over a year, and my game settings for something like 3 years, and I've only had issues the last 5 months or so, just before DA:I was released.
could be many things.. One of the most in Skyrim, is your save size... Once it gets beyond that 10gig mark, that game becomes unplayable.. Also, your hardware could be dying.. Dust in your fans, under your vid card, etc... 250mods is a WHOPPING amount.. I cant imagine none of them arent not conflicting in some way, shape, or form.. Some of them kick in, and dont really cause issue until theyre activated.. Dungeon mods for example.. If they have quests that are in similar locals.. Any skeleton mods, you cannot have 2 of.. Realistic ragdols and force vs dual sheathe redux, or any number of the animation change mods will conflict.. Again, not necessarily upon start, somehtin can trigger it at a certain point, or any random trigger..
Do you have NMM? If so, is it on auto update? do you have any mods set to auto update?
