Wow, pretty impressive graphics for an old game. Any ground combat? I can't find many screens.
After looking for 2 days for a good 4x galactic civilisation game, I found a ton of new upcoming indies, as well as disappointing attempts. Argh!
There's a kickstarter indie called Flagship which is filling the hole for commanding a massive starship on a FPS scale (I'm looking at SC for more the "Space Pirate/Freelancer" feel, the Constellation starship itself just isn't big enough even for me (unless they are going to have the carriers in the mix)
http://www.spacesect...-your-starship/
Need to scratch this itch!
You remember this? it was a fun real time strategy game. http://www.fileplane...rol-(Free-Game)

Just like Bioware teamed up with AMD for DAI :-)
Lots of gaming companies are doing that now :-)
But not to worry the game will run perfectly well on AMD and Nvidia cards :-)
And the game is going to rock :-)

Was wondering why I am getting amazing FPS in games and YouTube I get 30FPS in full screen :-)
Even with the super fast ISP I have :-)
They want you to switch to their browser in order to get the 60FPS
I refuse to be stuck with Google Chrome :-)
Was thinking it was a video driver, but no millions of people are having this issue:-)
That just plain sucks forcing people to go to Chrome :-)
They claim IE11 does not suffer from it, but Firefox not doing well either :-)

Google is Youtube and it doesn't matter what browser you use. Youtube videos are locked down to 30 fps. They do it because affiliate limit is 20 gb for size of a video. It's just a space consideration, not some conspiracy by Google. There is a big difference in comparing video fps vs video game fps. You can still shoot a video at 60 fps but it'll be much larger in size and you are restricted to the 20 gb limit and also the 30 fps cap.

They have advertising all over Google that YouTube is now 60FPS :-)
Supposedly the 60FPS has been available since November 2014
But it has to do with HTML5 and Flash player :-)
And they claim that Google Chrome does not have that 30FPS limitation:-)
Still who needs YouTube anyway :-)

Looking at your engines graphics:-)
I do not know about other people, but thr Frostbyte engine looks the worst :-)
The Witcher engine looks amazing:-)
That is my taste and opinion:-)
Some opinions from other people may be different:-)

@MatrixGirl Yeah, that bloom seems a bit much, doesn't it? I personally like how X-ray engine 1.2 holds up to the rest since that thing is nearly 6 years old.

I don't mind the graphics in the frostbite engine. My problem with it is the execution of animation, scripting, lip sync, etc., etc., etc. You name an RPG/ Action/ Adventure feature and it is poorly executed. The character creation is two steps back from where we were before the CC on Frostbite3. The hair is terrible. We wish the physics were forgettable, because that would mean we didn't notice them. The game is fun if you can suspend your nitpicker and play. Having said that, you have to play it once to know what to skip and what to do. lol

Yeah, you're right about that but I also don't see the big deal of it. For let's play type videos, it's handy but I watch stuff at 480p anyway. I usually don't watch anything on Youtube at 720p and up due to my metered connection.

Frostbite engine just seems like it's a poor fit for RPGs.. fine for shooters.

But I have this nagging feeling, that if you skip lots of places in DAI, you will not get the good weapons and armour:-)
Just like ME 3:-)
Got to do all those side quests to get all the good mods and the best weapons, and the blood Dragon armour:-)
But ME3 is fun :-)

I started ME3 today, but real life keeps calling me away. It's been fun so far.

Nope. it's the boss types that drop the good stuff and that's all in the main questline. The dragons sometimes drop some decent stuff but not always. Everything else is either junk, schematics for crafted and gag items like the giant spoon, and cheese shields, etc.

I just realized what Inquisition reminded me of. Pokemon. You go around collecting bottles, mounts, wall murals, rings, and other various herbal items instead of monsters.

I'll have to admit a partiality for the Creation and X-Ray engines, and I still think they look better.
Watching some footage from W3 I'm impressed watching the wind through the foliage ... looks very realistic.

@KilrB Yes, I think with a strong art team, Creation engine and X-Ray 1.2 are still relevant.

No WAY! Pokemon was way more fun than DA:I even before I got my colour Pikachu edition gameboy lol! Hell, Stadium 1&2 had much better combat (lol!) and at least the mulitplayer mini games were awesome to play stoned!
Unreal4 and Cry Engine are my two picks for the engines, but Frostbite 3 is at the bottom of the line up for sure. I really don't see why they made a fuss about it, it's just not that great looking.

annnd ... they can be modded, easily.
For all the hype about Frostbite, the Creation and X-Ray engines can still be modded to look and play better than it.
So far anyway.
... and don't forget, they can be easily modded.

Tried playing the Pokemon CCG with my kids, but just couldn't get into the whole "make animals fight for your entertainment" deal.
I've had a limited exposure to the Unreal and Cry engines, many more of my games have been from Bethesda and GSC.

Bioshock infinite, and rest of the series was using Unreal engine , just not the new version 4. Of course, Aion used Cryengine 1, and Crysis 2 maximum edition used Cryengine 2. Haven't played any of these?
