Aside from the shameless marketing advertisement toward the end, this video kicks a** IMO. It really does capture a lot of how I feel about PC/Console arguments. It's not about "PC/Console Master Race", but rather if you're going to design games for both, do it WELL and not half-baked- or favoring one over the other under the guise of compatibility, etc. Or... simply just design for one and let the customer decide whether they're going to buy it.

Yeah, Linus does bring up some good points and it is really about the games.  It's corporate greed that is really hurting the game business. DAI would have fared better being on PS4, Xbox One and PC only.  It definitely feels like they spread their resources out too thin.

Good night Peregrinus, thanks for your time.

so I was wrong about my level.  I'm a level 22 Blademaster.  Physique 303 Cunning 234 Health 2222  I also realized that I don't have relics yet but I should by now, right?  I haven't finished Act 2 yet .

But really the video is good it got a like out of me :-)

But time for bad PC port is over for me :-)

I will wait for reviews 6 months after a game comes out :-)

And for PC only, the days of Bioware telling lies about made by PC gamer for PC gamer is an old story now :-)

I will stick with Indy games for now on and will always be PC, no consoles will enter my house :-)

Do I see a day that gaming will only be console, nope never, too many companies out there who want nothing to do with consoles :-)

And way too many companies are dedicated in building PC hardware :-)

I agree with you on this.  Microsoft and Sony need to let Xbox360 and PS3 go. Those systems are over a decade old and is holding back the generation now. PS4 and Xbox One are both X86 machines so the entire porting process doesn't make sense to me. Wouldn't it make more sense to develop for PC at the high resolutions it affords, and then port to the consoles , add controller support, and then tune down the graphics to allow for smooth gameplay. It seems like that would be less work then doing the opposite.

Could hand said it better :-)

But games like Star Citizen would fry a PS4 or an Xbox1

So those kind of titles are PC only since lots of horse power is required :-)

But making games PC first then dumbing them down for consoles would work :-)

But imagine let's say in multi player no way MS or Sony is going to allow PC players go against consoles players :-)

The console players would never stand a chance :-)

@MatrixGirl   Yeah, the very nature of Star Citizen wouldn't function on those consoles, not only because it graphically couldn't handle the game. The persistent universe, the patching process, amount of space required and controls would not work at all.  I heard Microsoft is going to play around with crossplay but I doubt Sony would do that.  I did find a device that fits on a XB360/PS3 that allows you to map controls to a keyboard/mouse and to console players, it's called a cheat device.  lol  I wonder why that is.  *eye roll*  :)

Well let them have their controlers and we will stick with Keyndings, and keyboards and mouse :-)

In the PC world that is called a necessity:-)

Cross play would be a slaughter for console players, and their networks could not handle the PC players:-)

I say let the consoles players have their plastic boxes, I will stick with my PC :-)

I just get irritated by the whole situation with current gen consoles and PC.  I thought the whole reason to make the consoles X86 was to diminish the cost of porting games to three very different platforms by unifying it into one.  Why PC gamers are getting ports from consoles from this generation makes absolutely no sense.

Yeah, it really make No Sense At All to make a game on a pc, but make it for consoles then have to port it back to the native hardware. None at all. You'd think it would be a case of 'obvious is obvious' that you'd make it for PC in the beginning (like, oh I dunno a pc game for pc gamers) then tweak it for the limits of consoles.

But apparently at Bioware Obvious is Mystifying and redundant is just what happens to you if you don't bow deep enough to your overlords.

Meanwhile... my puppy lands in my state in five hours! Not that he's even on the plane yet, it's only going to be a two hour flight lol! But still...Puppy Preschool has been booked starting next week, Obedience/Agility club selected. And he has the cutest little camo patterned harness! I think it's important for a little dog to feel butch, you know? :P

edit for typos because even though you'd think I'd have tried to have decent night's sleep on what will be my last chance until toilet training is done, my cats thought differently. So tired..and a future of more tired ahead lol!

And of course, it's raining heavily today lol! *sigh* Nothing like a trip to our airport in foul weather, it's a nightmare getting there at the best of times. And I to bring Rupert back in before the bad weather hit so I am running way behind on stable chores. *shakes fist at Murphy and his confounded laws.*

You know what peeves me the most about this whole DA:I mess? Bioware ruined me for other games with DAO, then made me hope I was going to get a new DAO experience and dashed those hopes. I feel doubly cheated. And I want BANTER! And a new character as ridiculously awesome as Zevran!

It's a good thing I have a puppy on the way, else I might be making voodoo dolls to pass my time with!

My cats hate me.

The rabbit hates me.

Akira loves me enough for all of them though so it's okay, they'll come round lol!

He's just so incredibly boisterous the other guys weren't coping so I've had to drag in the weimaraner sized crate so that everyone gets a little time out. The cats and bunny approve of this idea, Akira is just passed out n it so he seems okay with it for now lol!

He's so lively! Like, really, really, makes my weim puppy look like a snoozer, lively. Hef etches compusivley and bounds around looking ridiculously adorable  and just keeps going even when he's wiped out lol! Took him to the vets for his arrival check over today and suffice to say he has an ever growing fan club. I've taken some pics so when I get onto my laptop later, I'll upload them and link you guys if you like.

I could use a bit more sleep, but that isn't going to happen so why dwell on it? :P  He's pretty good though, yells the roof down for the first five minutes after he goes in his sleep crate, then settles and sleeps through the three hour intervals like a champ. Of course, he will never be anything but perfect, you all know this, right?

He's just gone ten weeks Peregrinus. And he's awake now lol! Might have to put the wabbit in his cage for a bit so I can get something (other than supervising the trauma) done. :)

Who said space sims were a life suck? Puppies are worse! I've got NOTHING done for two days so far, except  for puppy things I mean.

AAAAAAAAW! :D

I'm more of a cat person, but cats are only like "pals". They hang around and you can play with them or just leave them be. Dogs are more like bffs. :D

It's a skill granted by the Gunslinger's Talisman and the Marauder's Ammo Belt.

Any other Knight  of the Dinner Table fans here?

Tried to find a web strip of the "Doomsday Pack" story arc for you LunaFancy but all I got was this:

Also found this:

Cats, dogs, rabbits, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, horses 'n' cows ... get to know 'em and they're like people.

They have their own personalities and character ... and some of them can be real "characters".

(edit: forgot pigs ... yep, had one of them too.)
