In between driving to the new site where I am NOT going to accept the job and packing... I've been checking out different games and updating MLB2K11 rosters to reflect the upcoming season. Holy cow... Sword Coast Legends is going to rock. Bioware should really, really pay attention. Sword Coast Legends is what Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights did for Bioware. Obviously, the D&D license is in play, but more importantly than that... it's in the hands of the same people that made Dragon Age Origins and had some experience with previous titles going back to Baldur's Gate. Seriously... it's a dream come true for DMs like me. It's pretty much of a DM toolkit with all the goodies that TSR (sorry, WoTC) provided in book fashion.

Welcome back Cyan!
Now, spill ...
How did the move go?
Where have you moved to?
What's wrong with the job and who(m) was it with?

For those who care, you can pre-0rder a Titan X from EVGA today for $999.99. Lots of money, but $100 less than a Titan Black sells for today. 3072 cores and 12 GByte of GDDR5 memory with a 384 bit memory bus. In other news, The Quaddro M6000 also bowed today. Similar specs. No price, yet. For those of you with a VCA, you can upgrade to an all M6000 unit. Also no price.

I'm moving out of San Antonio and we're focused on four properties in Comfort, Kerrville, Boerne and Centerpoint. My new work site is taking me directly into Eagle Pass and that's a freaking "NO WAY!" I'm hired through contract and sorry... I still get to decide my fate. I basically told HR to go find another dummy and also find me something better. They love me and hate me there. I'm tight-lipped about what I see, but I document everything. EVERYTHING.

Not sure about Comfort or Centerpoint, but Boerne and Kerrville are nice ... though Boerne is was getting rather built-up last I was through there.
Too close to Austin these days it seems.
Eagle Pass ... can you even tell which side of the river you're on these days?

Yes. The undocumented immigrants pose no threat to me. It's the doucmented (well-documented in courts all over the South) workers that work these fields are the reason why I have CHL.

What took you so long?
I've had very little time for TV the past decade.
I've had some downtime so I've been catching up.

If they're undocumented, they're not immigrants.

Stop that!
I don't need to be checking out yet another game right now.

Person of Interest is an amazing show :-)
It reflects what could be true in the big brother society and the NSA era we live in :-)
And JJ Ambrams is great :-)

Those illegal aliens are the people who do the dirty work no Americans want to do
They are hard workers at 5 dollars an hour and will work 16 hour days
This is not a political place and I find that those comments were a bit on the rude side of things :-)
The U.S. is supposed to be the land of opportunity, and remember you were all once immigrants from the UK or France
Diversity is the spice of life
Now go do what those people do and see how long you last
That is my liberal take on right wing thinking comments
Do not be red necks now yall

The show isn't too far fetched. It's got just enough realism thrown in for you to ponder about it. That's what makes the show enticing. JJ Abrams seems to be good at doing that. I loved Fringe for the same reason but also because it had that X-files vibe to it.

I still don't like what he did with enterprise, or star trek in general.

The cast for that I felt was fantastic. The premise of it was alright. I think the fanbase was divided 50/50 on how it was done but I think it did get a lot of folks new to Star Trek interested. I was satisfied but I still think Star Trek Next Generation was definitely the highlight of the series.
