No I did not use the keep at all :-)

Looked into it but could not remember all the questions they were asking :-)

Is it a must do to play DAI to do The Keep thing, does it affect the game at all?

Thwen it probably is the keep icon..It effects the game as much as the decisions you make in the game.. Very little.. Not like in previous gDA games iMo... The same way DAO consequences carried over to DA2, the keep allows you to bring those 2 games' consequences over to DAI, since you cannot just carry over a save file from DA2 to DAI, you need to use the keep, or use the default game state.. If you want your past choices to "matter".. (By mater, i mean be noted, as thats all it is)

I am getting rants and hate PM and such because I told them to shut up in the PC forum. They don't like my thoughts on Beta being a joke, or that I don't see them needing a pat on the back, and yet I am the bad girl. They need to be thanked and told what a great job they did...It does not work that way. Sometimes you do your job, because its yours to do, no thanks involved.  Maybe its my age, but I find most of them to be too entitled and annoying. I do not need an award on my wall for volunteering to stuff emergency food bags, or clean the river banks or sweep the veterans memorial, I do those because I choose to.  No one says Thank you for sweeping that, I just do it. I think they just need a lesson in humility and I am tired of having to point these things out in a game forum.  Volunteering in a Patch Beta test is not that big a deal. They need to get over the idea they are owed anything from Bioware. They should also admit that the whole thing was just a PR stunt from Bioware to keep them quiet for a bit, like I told them, until their DLC was released, but that makes me a ****** for saying that.

Digs in bag for more duct tape.

a bit, but not really. at best in specific places it decides who you encounter, though it doesn't really change things.

Well guess there has to be a way to add that icon :-)

Will have to do some research and let you know what I come up with :-)

But I am sure it is some option under profile :-)

Quiet here today :-)

Is this forum still alive :-)?

Or is everyone playing DAI with the new patch :-)

I don't think anyone in PC Players is playing DAI.   :)   I hope people drop by at least and let us know what's good once in a while.  Maybe it's time for us here to create our own forum somewhere?

$15 DLC  = what the frack!?#

if I was actually happy with the game they sold us, I might pay $15 for dlc, but then the dlc would likely be worth $15.

I know I will always come here and give my opinions on stuff :-)

And will always say Hello :-)

Might be busy when TW3 comes out :-)

Yes 15 dollars to add more bugs to a bug ridden game already:-)

That's the same problem I have with it.  They have not addressed the issues that they highlighted but they release a DLC instead?  I don't mind paying for DLC.. Heck, I paid for the horse armor in Oblivion to show support but according to many in reddit,  the DLC is basically  hinterlands 2.0 with more mindless fetch/shard hunting.

Just checked my Mass Effect 1 box and it says Electronic Arts Bioware :-)

When did you buy it? I got this one on release day.. This is the Mass Effect Game, released for Xbox360 (i dont think it was on PC originally).. If its the trilogy, it will say EA, as i have that as well.. But the ME1 box i have here, says Bioware Corp. Microsoft Game Studios.. And on back Bink Video, &Scaleform

A big problem i have with faaar too manby devs no adays.. DLC. DLC, DLC.. Never fixes.. I played ESO for awhile, and while they fixed some, there was only HALF an TES game.. No real factions, crime, theft, murder, etc.. Just questing.. WHich i wanted, but it wasnt implemented well at all..

I waited a bit to pickup my copy of mass effect, as i don't really buy games the day of launch, with the only exceptions being skyrim and DA:I.

I purchased mine last year on Amazon, and it is the PC version :-)

But the company who was selling my copy that I have was in the UK :-)

Hence why it is called the Mass Effect trilogy:-)

Made by EA and Bioware

The Bink stuff is just a graphic company that does stuff for game companies like Microsoft and all Xbox game would say Microsoft Xbox :-)

If im not mistaken.. Ea aquired Bioware, when mass effect was already done, and DA:O was halfway done.. While they had input on Origins (obviously, with ll that dlc) i dont believe they were available for me1.. Which is probably the reason so many people disclude part 1 from their like lists.. I actually prefer 1, over 2 or 3.. Not that i dont like them, i just think its mroe rpg, and the 2 sequels are more 3rd person shooter than rpg..

But yea. Theres no EA anywhere on this case, pamphlet, disc, or anything..

I dont generally bu new releases either.. Now i have 4 kids, and a mortgage, and cant waste the money... Back in 05-06, i only had 1-2 kids, and was only paying rent..

BTW funny thing: You remember all my long posts about the flaws and potential future problems of the GTX 970?

Well finally the day came where I had to make my mind up which card to get. I spent days getting information on how the "problems" actually manifest themselves, especially videos showing them and found that I couldn't see it. There was a special video, aparently showing "micro stuttering" and I just couldn't see it lol. Then I was reading up on all the possible alternatives - or lets better say the lack of proper alternatives - and got a damned GTX 970 in the end.

I just couldn't bring myself to get an AMD. Not with all the positive experience with Nvidia over the past two years. Not with all the talk about bad AMD drivers even by those who use them. And not with cards that consume power for two cards while still underperform. A major turn-off was the thought of having to do a fresh windows installation after format c:\ in case I'm not able to transition from Nvidia to AMD cleanly.

So now the risk is mine. When push comes to shove the card is still the best for its money, by a longshot even, but those problems could come back and bite me in the ass in maybe half a year or a year. Or maybe not.

You have the original release of Mass Effect PC like I do.  Microsoft Studios published the PC version for Bioware.  The PC version was ported from XB360 to PC by  Demiurge Studios who completely revamped the game for mouse/keyboard gameplay at Bioware's behest.  That was the old Bioware..  not so much now.

@GODzilla   Isn't what you are saying exactly what MatrixGirl told you weeks ago..?   :)   Stick with Nvidia if you are happy with their products so far. I'm not a loyalist to AMD but I've been happy with them so I keep using them.

I read lots about the GTX970 and the problems are really not existant unless you do 4k with everything cranked up on ultra.

Most people do not run 4K monitors and the issues with the 970 is lots of hype :-)

It is a great card for the money and it works well even on 4K as long as you do not ask it to do extreme graphics at 4K

At 1080P you will never get into any problems, it is a good purchase :-)

There are utilities out there that you can install and boot in safe mode and run it it will get rid of anything that says AMD or ATI :-)

Then install your new card and install the driver and you are all set :-)

No need to reformat :-)

Reference my dual, ASUS GTX980 Strix Direct CU II they are 25% faster in SLI and kicked the Titan X butt all over the place :-)

And if you want to run one single Titan X you need 40gig of RAM dual you need 128Gig of RAM, quite hard to find 32Gig modules of DDR4 for my board :-)

And 32 Gig modules do not come at 3300 FSB, hence the Titan X is mostly a server card :-)

Got the ASUS GTX 970 Stryx off of Amazon so I can test it a month and just in case I did run into some problems I can give it back. Also got this PSU: http://geizhals.de/b...5-a1165608.html

So if the GTX 970 doesn't work I can always switch to an energy eating monster from AMD lol. :D

Been building my own PCs for years so I know that. But I also know there are no real certainties on PC. ;) Sometimes you run into trouble for no apparent reason and have to figure out what the problem is. You could experiment for a couple days or you could make a clean reinstall.

Most of the time I was able to figure my problems out though and solve them. ^^ I mean, this Win7 installation here is running since October 2012 and it still runs fast and stable. :)
