You will have no problem with the ASUS 970 Strix

It has the new fan system like mine called passive cooling

The fans do not kick in unless the GPU or the VRAM reaches 50C, then they kick in individually for maybe 10 seconds and shut themselves totally off :-)

The MSI version does this also :-)

You will need a 8 pin and a 6 pin connector for your new card, but not to worry it comes with the card :-)

You will have no problem at all :-)

Nice PSU, do not know this brand but it has good specs on it :-)

So, PoE eh? Tomorrow [gah] as in 3 am tomorrow morning for me being as that is 9am PSDT.

Anyway, I took Peregrinus suggestion and ran with it - here's a forum we can all play in free of Bioware observation.

http://pcgamesforpcp...forumotion.com/

See what I did there? lol! Bit of an homage to how we all got together. ;)

It's bare bones now  but if people actually use it I'll beef it up and stuff but for now I'd prefer to wait and see, because well Aussie and apathy, remember?

If anyone particularly wants to play with it I'll give them admin rights happily. :)

Oops, I didn't mean to ninja you! I'd been thinking about it for a little while myself since I doubt the mods will be happy with us chatting about other games here...

Like I said, I'm not attached to running it myself, just say the word! :)

But yes, spread the word!

Also...PUPPY!

The ASUS Stryx GTX 970 just uses a single 8-pin and the PSU has two 8-pin, so I should be fine. ^^

I Tought it was like mine :-)

Mine requires a 6 and 8 pin :-)

My twin 980 suck a bit more juice hence why they need both a 6 and 8 pin connectors:-)

The ASUS Strix GTX980 Direct CU II need more juice I guess :-)

But I have plenty of Watts to spare :-)

Heu guys...this a Group, we have been talking about other games for 4 months and destroying EA, Bioware and DAI. As long as we don't use profanity, we can say whatever the frilliing fidge we want. Why abandon ship now?

Bashing Bioware is lots of fun :-)

Thank you dear Matrixgirl. this Group is a little like my baby, having abandoned all hope for DAI 3 months ago I think, but I'm all in favor of talking on other supports, be they a forum, Steam chat, email, whatever...

Like KilRb (I think) wrote a little while ago, this Group has the potential to be like a guild, and, of course to be used in real life. That's the Dream.

Btw, I wanted to ask you : are you French Canadian or French?

Ok. Don't worry I won't bother you with silly jokes about the Quebec accent.

I visited Eastern Canada (mainly Montreal and Quebec and a trip to Tadoussac to see the whales :) ) in 2009.

Beautiful country, impressive landscapes, very relaxed people, except waiters when they think you're from Paris ( yes I know that service is not included, thank you dear waitress, don't worry about the tip, please let me have a blueberry pie).

And please: you can speak French, period, or French from France, or French French.

Parisians are an anomaly in France.

The country is much nicer.

I will visit Paris one day :-)

It is a city with lots of history and also would like to spend a few weeks in France :-)

Here in Canada there is like 10 different versions of French :-)

But we can all understand each other and get along :-)

And I am from Montreal but now reside in Halifax that is where my career is ATM :-)

In Canada, even in the east, I was always glad that english was an option. Not the best option, but my only option and one I didn't have in France because even if they could, my impression was that they simply refused to talk anything but french in France. :D

I spent 2 weeks living in Normandy about 7 years ago, would have been nice... except I had food poisoning from the food on the flight, I was sick for half my stay... though I guess that makes it worse than food poisoning.

---edit
as for speaking French, the locals were simply glad I tried, and failed to speak it. as my skill at frech is about nonexistent

@Ashen Nedra   It's nice to have options though.  Maybe we can customize the other forum to our liking. I'll have to ask LunaFancy if there are freebie tools for that.   Also, it would be a good outlet for the group once we actually get something going on the developing side of things we all talked about in the beginning.  I have to sort out some RL  things but once I do,  I'm gonna get going on it.  :)

I guess you'all wouldn't be surprised if I tell you that I don't share the hype for POE. :P

I mean I did play Baldurs Gate, but that was then and this is now. ^^ I prefer 3d graphics. And I'm sure TW3 will set the record straight, showing that good looking games can be deep rpgs. ...sometimes. :D

It's for sure that PoE isn't for everyone.

Graphically, it's not going to stress your system ... but story-wise it should please a great many crpg players.

I went and check the other forum, it looks alright, but there is something that does not work for me :-)

If we want to talk hardware we have to go to a different part of the forum, if we want to talk about Star Citizen we have to go to another part of the forum :-)

To me that is kind of controlling what we say and where we say it :-)

Kind of like crowd control, I am not cattle and I do not want to be told ...hey this is hardware you cannot speak about that on the Star Citizen forum :-)

So this is splitting us up :-)

I am sticking with Ashen and the group here and if people want to split , well was nice knowing you all
