Peregrinus
I went and check the other forum, it looks alright, but there is something that does not work for me :-)
If we want to talk hardware we have to go to a different part of the forum, if we want to talk about Star Citizen we have to go to another part of the forum :-)
To me that is kind of controlling what we say and where we say it :-)
Kind of like crowd control, I am not cattle and I do not want to be told ...hey this is hardware you cannot speak about that on the Star Citizen forum :-)
So this is splitting us up :-)
I am sticking with Ashen and the group here and if people want to split , well was nice knowing you all
It's good to have an option though.
Some day we're ALL liable to get perma-banned here ... ![]()

We have been bashing DAI and Bioware for months now and no one ever kicked us out :-)
This forum has more features and do not need to have 5 windows open to chat with people :-)
Anyway I will see how it goes, but if some people want to split well as I said, not my cup of tea :-)

@MatrixGirl You are reading too much into this. I'll still be here but it's nice to have a place to call our own and shape it to whatever we wish it to be. If LunaFancy hadn't created the forum, I would have. But I'm also looking beyond just the conversation and camaraderie. I actually want to use the new forum for what we had all discussed here. Be it a mod or an actual game, I want to see the reality of that dream come to fruition. Once I've dealt with RL issues, I'll set things in motion and I hope everyone here will join us.

You know me I say what I mean and never mince words :-)
I hope you get your RL issues taken care of and I know those things are personal
But It is like parachuting, why in the world would someone want to jump out of a perfectly working aircraft:-)
Anyway am voicing my opinion and will not be coraled and told where to chat and about what
If you guys want to jump out I wish you all good luck :-)

But here it is more open and there is more freedom
And more features
Anyway the point is moot to me
Looks like divide and conquer myself

A suggestion ... ?
Here we have had many fine discussions covering a multitude of games and topics, and I really enjoy this.
Sometime though, it's hard to look back through it all to find a particular gaming suggestion or point.
Both here and on the other forum it may be helpful to have a main discussion like this (would not want to lose this) ...
... and have specific threads about games, mods, mod load orders, etc. at least copied to a discussion specific to that game to make them easier to find.

@ MG : I really think you misunderstand the concept of ín addition to'. No one is leaving here. Some of us might want to talk about other games in a more formalised fashion, we can do that there. If we wish.
There is no 'divide and conquer', not in my mind anyway. You are the only one feeling animosity, you know that right?
ETA We can do whatever we want over there KilrB. I just made it, I feel no sense of ownership over it, nor do I harbour a desire to control anything. I thought it was a nice option and did something about it, end of.

Signed up, but still playing catch-up here and in PCCC.
(I'm out of "likes" again)

How's the Witcher play-through going?
Finally re-started TW2 myself, didn't finish it the first time.

I do not feel animosity, but KilrB just made a good suggestion and that I could live with :-)
If there was a general discussion thread, where we can talk about anything, I would be open to that :-)
But you misunderstand loyalty and animosity :-)
This is something Ashen wanted what we have now, and I have loyalty for Ashen :-)
And I am not the only one thinking that way :-)
I will follow Ashen, if he moves there to start something than i will follow. End of.

I just don't want to be split even more by yet another forum, as I've been neglecting those that I already belong to, well besides this forum.
Ya know, I didn't even think about that but I usually don't use forums at all. I'm on here and PCGamer. And the only reason why I ended up on here is because of DAI not being what I thought it would be. If I hadn't met you all here, I would have been gone a long time ago.

Did you guys see the scores Pillars of Eternity is getting? Not too shabby for a kickstarter game.
92 metascore from 17 critics, 8.9/10 from 605 users so far from day two
hmm.. DAI got
85 metascore from 45 critics, 5.8/10 from 3084 users in 4 months.

Hello, guys, friends and members of the Pc Players Group,
Please calm down.
I have nothing against another forum being created, especially for purposes of implementing the Dream, as Peregrinus said.
I already tried to get a number of email addresses together outside the Group. Wasn't a big success to be honest. I have maybe 6 or 7 out of the 78 members of this Group as of today. Seems like Internet anonymity is a tough taboo to break.
I must say however that I feel attached to this particular forum so I won't abandon it anytime soon, even though I don't post as much as I used to because of (i) being kind of swamped at work and (ii) not having something interesting to contribute to every discussion.
Re tech stuff and the relative attribute of one's interest in it, I created just now a specific thread for long and arduous discussions on the matter.
Dear Matrixgirl, this doesn't mean that Tech stuff is frowned upon in the main thread. However, now there is a specific place for it.

I bought it yesterday, played 5 hours. Go for it!
It's basically Baldurs Gate 2 in a new universe and with new rules (a little difficult to adjust to them, I fear my Cypher is a little broken not having enough Dex...) and OKish 2015 graphics. Very polished, no bugs so far.

I'm really liking what I'm seeing out of Kickstarter. Shadowrun Returns, Wasteland 2, and now Pillars of Eternity.. and Torment Tides of Numenara is due out later this year I believe.

Kickstarter and other crowd-funding sites are a hope for economy to break from the capitalists (EA as a producer is basically an investment bank or a LBO fund).
It's perfect for video games to let the creative people reclaim predominance on the marketing and financing people.
Only CDProjekt being a (somewhat) private company with the original developers as controlling shareholders are able to offer a AAA alternative.
It took them 30 years to get to the Witcher 3...

@Ashen Nedra Thank goodness for that.. but then again they have gotten to Witcher 3 thanks to them owning GOG. Hopefully, they'll keep making games instead of becoming like Steam/Valve.. I really want Half Life 3 , damn it! lol
