I may check it out
The worst screwed game that I ever played was alien colonial marine that came out a few years ago and was made by Sega. It was for the PC it was so bad they had to send a 4 Gig patch to fix it, the original game was 2 Gig, so they had to totally rewrite the game from scratch and it still sucked :-)

Yikes, sorry you experienced that sad excuse for a game.. I had the fortune of reading Angry Joe's review on it so I never got it. Oh, if you do end up playing stalker, you might want to try the game at Stalker difficulty which is considered normal difficulty.. The game is brutal and doesn't hold your hand at all.

Telstra or Optus? ;)

Actually my 'net's pretty good (Optus). Tends to have the occasional dropout at midnightish (they seem to reset then) or during storm season (that's not their fault--Brissy storms are pretty electricky, especially this year).

And now I have to ask where (obviously not specifically) you are? :D

Using TPG at the moment, used Optus before it but they pissed me off enough times. So far so good, but not going to trust it (As advanced as we are, what's up with our internet?! I travelled even to Asia and there was reliable wifi EVERYWHERE) - and definitely not going to buy Ubisoft when I can't even play a singleplayer game offline heh

I lived in Cairns for a while though, during the winter. Nice and warm :)

Ran as far as I could once summer hit though - 40'C AND humid? Heh

I'm in NSW ;) Yeah, we're mexicans to you guys, but Melbourners are the mexicans to us lol

ya. lol  The game still feels fresh thanks to  Interesting NPCs, Falskaar, and Wyrmstooth.  It's a whole new game with those installed. Those three add two new continents, bunch of new areas, puzzles, and storylines.

Agreed, not to mention INIGO, seriously he's better than even some Bioware characters in my opinion. Heck, add him to your list lol

That is because those oriental countries have massive bandwidth and WiFi is free.
And because they have invested so much money in Internet infrastructure. Unlike other countries they are ranked number one in the world :-)

Unlike Australia, ARGH... it's quite frankly, embarrassing lol

Haha yeah I laughed my ass off too watching that trailer again, in fact INIGO made me go through the ENTIRE game +DLCs again thanks to all his comments, quest awareness and surprises! Smartbluecat - the creator, is a fking GENIUS and his voice acting is superb. Multi-talented, serious gem right there :D

I don't have any warning posts, but there is a possibility that I may get booted from the forums. If that occurs, I appreciate this group wholeheartedly and hope that we'll be reunited somewhere else. The negative stuff that's appearing on the forums is starting to get the attention of the media. Three months and they are late to the party, but it makes for a slow news day, I guess. Anyway, stay salty, but not bitter.

Yes, that's one I forgot ... S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - COP modded out the wazoo.

I've played them all but modded COP is the best.

Even without some of the mods that make it even more difficult it can be nerve-wracking.

My last comment before I go get some beauty sleep
The PC UI of DAI is as frustrating as driving that silly Mako in ME the first one, that thing was so hard to control and needed repairs every 2 minutes and kept on falling on its side.
What an awful part of the game that was.
At least ME2 and ME3 had the Kodiak shuttle to get you to the places you needed to go.
Sweet dreams all
Looking forward to chat with you guys tomorrow
Hugs for all :-)

I have no warning points either, don't think they'll boot you mate. Besides all we offered has been honest criticism. As for the media its about time. Seriously it's too many lies and they shouldn't get away with it. If they do though, whatever, I'm happy as long as they don't get my money.

Just got this from someone I invited to join this evening:

" I logged in tonight and found your invitation, TY for that, but it seems the topic is closed and I can not post anything.  My gaming email is (redacted) or my gaming guild website is (redacted)

Please send me any info or invites to those as I believe the Bioware Big Brothers are targeting and shutting down specific topic and people."

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

(edit: redactions are mine)

As Angry Joe likes to say..  NO NO  NOOO!    I seriously doubt and I hope they do not boot you. I don't think you've made any comments imho that would result in that. I think everyone here has made legitimate criticisms and personal opinions about what the state of affairs are in the game. To be honest, I think everyone here has been relatively positive considering the issues.

Goodnight, Matrixgirl!  I actually liked the Mako quite a bit even with it's clunky controls.. The fact I could explore planets was a very appealing aspect.

I grew up down there, so, no, I don't. :D

And this summer has been verrrry Cairns-like here. I want to head south again, I do.

My eldest is in Melbourne. Maybe I'll move there. Or Tasmania. Except, winter. Crap.

TPG can be hit and miss up here. Cheaper, though. Used them for a while.... same deal. When they're great, they're fantastic. When they're not.... oh dear.

ETA: No warnings here, either, and given how vocal I've been.... *shrugs*

I have one warning point for "spamming" ...

"Greetings,

Since the posts were deleted, I'm not sure now what I said in them ...

The worse when I was living in Cairns was that during the summer I couldn't even go to the beach to cool off cause of stingrays... ARGH! NSW is alright, but honestly I prefer Aussies from other places, don't ask me why... well, ok, just the culture where I live is abit too money-faced for me.

Anyway, as for being vocal. At least in my industry I know how vocal customers can get, ignore them and they'll go on every distribution channel and flame the sh-t outta your business. It's the quiet ones that folks have to watch out for too. The vocal ones you can do something about it. Ironically my industry can be very similar to gaming even though the operations are completely different. The same social media management, PR, reviews etc etc. So what I have experienced from EA/Bioware is APPALLING especially when comparing them to their competitors - and especially in the indie scene - AND my industry. How they are getting away with it is beyond me.

Oh wait, bribes, bribing gaming journalists, and also taking bribes from desperate Microsoft who's throwing money at devs to make their games/DLCs Xbox exclusive. Guess my market is much more smarter, no one books a room these days without checking out reviews - and we don't have the luxury of all these "professional" reviews to hide behind.

Fking shameful to be honest.

O.o

Hmm, I wonder if my rant posts have been deleted. I was REALLY pissed when I read that "All DAI DLC is coming as Xbox exclusives first - because then we can develop it faster on other platforms because MS rolled up with cash and it's better than cash from our fanbase."

That alone would have been meh if it wasn't for everything else when it comes to DAI's problems on PC and all the other lies and BS and silence and middle finger at the same time.

Made by PC gamers for PC gamers!

No better in my industry, everyone wants reviews and "honest" customer feedback before they pay for anything any more. Yeah I'm guilty of that to a degree but, not so much with games.

I Alpha test one and Beta for two others so, a few bugs are not a big deal. I don't go screaming game breaker unless it really is a game breaker. (Like entire bodies of character's disappearing because some bit of coding is off - I HATE floating head syndrome with a passion.)

As for my ISP, great connection speed is great 12MB/sec on average DL but the latency is horrid and, unavoidable with satellite. We might see 500ms someday but they can't break the laws of physics and, we are stuck at light speed MAX. What I hate is the small bandwidth allowance for the price I pay but, it's that or nothing. I also have to use VOIP, satellite radio and TV or I'd have no phone, radio or TV. No such thing as wires that actually work for those things out here. We do have aluminum phone lines for landline phones but, the whole mess is so old and not well maintained. It rains, you loose phone for a week with that. At least if it rains now, I only loose it (and internet) during the heaviest part of a big storm, light rain doesn't affect it. None of the 5 homes out here have a landline phone - two others besides me have cell that can only text out here if you walk outside and find a tine spot to get one bar of service. I'm the only one on this back road with internet.
