Yup, and it's beta 15 now, lots of new features too, really adds so much depth to the system. I really appreciate how Jake Solomon himself also said that the shipped Xcom was a "20 hour tutorial for Long War" heh, spoken like a gamer who knows his market. I just wish more devs are like him.
Also, I spent all last night trying to get this ONE crappy soldier killed, he survived all the way to Tech Sergeant!!! His aim is crap, his mobility is crap, he panics all the darn time from one little sectoid, yet his defence is freaking good, he just doesn't die! lol
That's the downside to the cannon fodder strategy, because when you push these crappy soldiers on the front lines, some end up getting all the kills and XP you want for the soldiers with good stats. Yet, no choice on ironman difficulty, need expendables to throw at the enemy from time to time.
