Guys did you hear the director of ME4 has left Bioware ?

@Jackal Yeah I know what you mean about Boobie mods lol this site has a ton of stuff for alot of Bethesda games like Skyrim and has 26 files up for fallout 4 they range from light and humorous to very very dark view at your own peril/pleasure lol

http://www.loverslab.com/files/

@LunaFancy yeah it looks to be a good year coming up and I have a good feeling about Squadron 42 Chapter 1 coming out on time. all of the mocap was done back around march/april and I have to admit the principal cast has me nerding out big time XD

Haha yeah loverslab is the first place for all the adult mods, Skyrim has been pretty much turned into porn by now lol

When it comes to the nexus my only problem with these mods is that it steals the spotlight from alot of other good mods thanks to the sheer number of downloads (lol). I reckon nexus needs a "top file" search option that goes by categories, like "top 25 files in gameplay mods", and "top 25 files in animations" etc. I've missed alot of good mods when it's not on the top 25 list - which has no categories.

Would have thought that a mirelurk hunter is a closer match to your old foe Godzilla :P

And god damn what settings do you have on your setup? Specs?

Are you using TAA or just running it at 1440p or something?

I can't stand the blurry textures with TAA but I'm on 1080p

So, here's what the game looks like on low with mods.  That fog is from True Storms mod.

I'm playing on mixed medium to high settings at 1080, though, heavily modified by now heh

BTW guys, if you're a fan of the Chinese stealth suit in FO3 or the Stealth suit MK3 in FNV, I found this in the clothing section:

Screen_Shot113.png

Look at the detail!

Screen_Shot116.png

Only problem is that such a high tech suit doesn't blend well with the less futuristic look of the armors. I recommend the "concealed armors" mod when wearing this suit (assuming you are using armorsmith extended)

Would be cool if the neons move too like here (at 4:00) :

But... not yet implemented it seems.

I'm sure it's possible, FNV had a Colossus power armor mod with moving turbines!

I'm running at 1080p with TAA, 8x aniso and all settings on max save for the godrays. To keep the games performance from crashing down in some areas (city center) I use the mod "Shadow Boost". No other visual mods apart from "Enhanced Color Correction", which changes the color palette a bit. Also no ENB or SweetFX...or in short, this is basically vanilla. The game does look very good most of the time imho. :)

BTW the antialiasing is the weakest part of the game. Look at my screenshots in their original size and you will notice aliasing, on the rifle for instance. This is much less visible ingame while everything is in motion, but you can see that the TAA fails when drawn against the background, especially when DOF is used. Would probably get better if I disabled DOF, but I like it, at least during cinematic scenes like during VATS or in conversations. ^_^

Ah I'm using low DOF not Bokeh, ur screenshots looks like 1440p but I guess with TAA it's smoother (FXAA is bad... I miss MSAA!!!), but for me it blurs my textures for some reason and I like it high-res.

You can actually do that on Nexus for quite a while now Click on the files drop down Top left then select categories pick you category and on the right side you should see under search a whole "sort by" section and then series of checkboxes under a attributes section

Yeah but it sorts the files in the categories by endorsed and recent. Sorting by endorsed lists the most popular mods of all time, sorting by recent forces you to cycle through alot of mods. The top files functionality picks the top files within 2 weeks, but has no categories.

It's a problem with the nexus site but it's still way better than Steam workshop IMO, and huge database, just a pain to navigate sometimes.

Tell me about it lol I have 75 mods downloaded for Skyrim 49 of which are active so by the time I was done last night I was seeing TES V Edit and FNIS in my sleep lol unfortunately the Cart ride to your execution at the begining is bugged, just as well i created a Quicksave after you get off the cart in helgen pre character creation so I just use that for new playthroughs lol

@Jackal  I personally don't like DOF much but even if you disable it, there is DOF in FO4 by default.   There seems to be almost no framerate hit associated with it so no big deal.

We have stormtrooper helmets already and "other" meshes (lol), so it's still likely :)

BTW, I have to admit, TAA + bokeh is good in screenshots:

(full size)

Screen_Shot121.jpg

Can't see the bokeh in that though, I only see it in convos, how did you take that shot with ur character and Valentine holding their weapons up with bokeh in the background? My eyes do get dizzy from the blurriness, I wonder if I can get used to it...

BTW god damn I'm so lucky to have my PC fixed after the surge, I owe my mate big time for this!

Gah All you peeps who've finished and are playing with mods lol! Or don't have unreasonable deadlines due to long awaited pc ports being released and have time to fiddle with mods on your first play through are making me feel like I'm missing out! :D

Then again, there is no reason I can't still play a bit while I'm playing DD. I figure I'll fiddle with mods t5hen. I can entertain ytou all with my wails of frustration when  nothing works for me lol! I've done the Silver Shroud mission, on my way to report back to Kent...if that is indeed th eend of it I shall move on to Bunker Hill, but I'm thinking there is more to the mission since it really wasn't all that fun up to this point lol!

@Lunafancy  The mods were really a more of a necessity for me then anything else so far. Also, mods that address issues that get on your nerves.. like text being bigger for TV , bug fixes, and etc.   :)

Same, mods started off as essential, now I'm mucking around post-game :)

I'm going to start a new one once upgraded with new CPU + Vcard. Though maybe just the CPU, I'm seriously impressed with the power of my 4 yr old GPU (medium on 1080 at ~40 FPS is nuts for its age), upgrading that even at best is a marginal performance improvement unless I want to drop near a thousand dollars.

BTW Luna, Silver Shroud is a chain of quests :P

@Lunafancy  There is a certain comic book store that may interest you.   :)

@Jackal  The game really is inconsistent on performance so far. Boston Commons and some parts of Boston South really suck fps wise but areas like the Glowing Sea run buttery smooth.  I'm wondering if it's grass or maybe the amount of rubble that's causing the performance problems.

The game runs great in most indoor areas, and most of the outdoor areas too that are just as complex..  Could it be the tall building causing issues?   who knows.

It's the gamebyro engine, it loads cell by cell, 5 at a time by default. Glowing Sea / countryside is smooth because it's not tightly packed, Boston city, it's VERY dense with skyscrapers and highways, a cell is not a 3d block but a cell in a grid, so when it loads a cell it loads right up to the sky. The shadow maps also take up alot of resources in the cities and it's rendered by the CPU. It also spikes when loading, it's not very smooth streaming compared to TW3, you notice it runs smooth then all of a sudden *spike* when loading the areas (especially very packed ones like around Boston Commons, Goodneighbor's entrance or Trinity tower), a real problem in a gunfight.

Not very efficient. It's CPU-dependent as well, and you can't do much with it either than an upgrade or CPU tweaks. I can keep my GPU settings on high (except for shadows which is STILL CPU-dependent unlike other engines) without FPS loss in Boston as it's just a CPU bottleneck. Alternatively you can use an SSD, I heard some Xbox users have resorted to using an external SSD to run it.

In short, the engine sucks compared to other games, its the moddability that is its plus side but seriously its performance needs a rewrite, it's falling behind its competitors. They need to do what Epic Games did with the Unreal 3 engine, UE 3.5 was VERY well optimised making it one of the best engines I've ever seen - the jump from ME1 to ME2 was incredible.

My shot was done during a VATS scene and I was just lucky that valentine was standing there. The camera angle and zoom is set by the game, you just have to pause in the right moment to take the shot.

It works like this: Hit the button that opens your console. I'm pretty sure it's the same button for you and me, problem is: "Ö" (look closely, it's that o with the two dots above lol). :D Whatever that is on your keyboard. Should be the one below "P".

Then enter "tm" (withouth the quotation marks) and press enter. It will disable the HUD and you can take the screenshot. Press "arrow up" to choose the same command and press enter again, HUD will be there again.

You can take this even a notch further. Open the console, enter "tfc 1" to freeze the game (even outside the console the game will be in pause mode), then enter "tm" then close the console. Scene will be freezes and you can fly around and take great screenshots of any action going on. Note that only the scene close to you will be rendered with normal textures. When you fly away the scenery will become ugly or parts of it wont render at all. If you want your character to physically appear in the screenshot you have to be in 3rd person camera before using that command. "tfc 0" resets it.

Also notice that when you do this during a cutscene, you better save the game before, pause, take the screenshots, then reload. Dialogue will continue to run even when the game is frozen and for the scene to make sense you probably want it to see as intended. ^^

Happy screenshot hunting! And happy new year. :)

Haha great, but I'm too much of a lore-freak to install mods like this. I do however look forward to a full set of heavy combat armor. It still looks light enough to fit an agile sniper-build character....we'll see. If not, I will stick with sturdy. For now I have a hard time replacing my regular combar armor parts since they just give bonuses that are too good to lose. Like +2 luck for the left armpad and +1 agi +1 str for the right one...

Heh yeah, it felt off wearing it ingame, it's more a costume to add to my collection. :D

I use craftable armor sizes and legendary modifications in my mod setup :)

So you can keep your favorite pieces and upgrade them - or even add new legendary mods. The mods are balanced too; very expensive upgrades and it blends with the game's pace IMO

Speaking of combat armor mods...
