Seriously Godzilla? Such a harsh judgement based on such a short vid intended to highlight the combat. There are much longer videos that show just how incredibly detailed the world is if you care to find them yourself.

Oh nooo...now I've fallen from grace and you hate me!
Kidding. ^^
Well I already know, I'm an idiotic sucker when it comes to graphics. 99% indie games I avoid due to that. If it's not flashy I don't want it. ![]()
There are some exceptions though. I love Faster Than Light and played through Sword & Sworcery, it was cool. But...that's about it, my whole indie-gaming-experience in a nutshell. ^^

TW3 was flashy graphics wise but imo bland as hell story/ dialogue wise (when it wasn't being ridiculously cheesy and cringey) and the combat is atrocious. The open spaces in TW3 were just trees and grass and the villages I went to weren't that exciting in terms of NPCs (in fact DD has the ones I went to beat by far) either so I have no idea what you're on about to be honest. Plus FFS it's YOUTUBE footage! WTH? I think you're nitpicking for the sake of it.

I'll make this short: For me, TW3 is the high-standard of the industry. The story was excellent imho (I read all the books), the presentation was amazing and the fights are awesome, too.
Yes, maybe not on the same level of DD, but you can't really compare these two. The Witcher 3 tries to aim for "realism" (or let's better call it authenticity) in it's own universe. You are a mutant, stronger and faster than a human and that's why one hit of a monster doesn't kill you. It does not however allow you to climb a beast like a mountain, ignoring that it should be able to shake you off with ease. It's definitely cool that you can do that in DD, but in terms of plausibility I think it's more in the realm of comics or anime. ![]()
What I can compare though is the graphics and that's what I did. World-design, details, character details, texture quality and animations are all one or two steps below The Witcher 3 and that's all what I said.
The game might still be fun and I will give it a try.
