The first 4 hours are doing side quests and picking up stuff for other people
Game is fun kind of :-)
I just finished the fight before talking to Mother Giselle in the Hinterlands
Game running at a solid 60FPS everything on high except went with fxaa instead of HBAO:-)
Cut scenes nice and smooth
Did not see anything weird yet :-)
CPU and GPU running nice and cool :-)
Yes the combat is weird so as the looting since you have to be real close to loot :-)
I do have the banter going on :-)
So I am kind of happy :-)
For those of you who wanted to know :-)
Yes one weird thing when you wait for a few minutes the entire party starts dancing all over the place :-)

Is anyone else here familiar with the work of Mark Smylie, particularly his "Book of Dooms" series?

well, as a former script doctor for no-budget films in Hollywood, I have the writing skills. I'm not steeped in the lore of DA enough to be able to write any kind of story in the world though. But given a story/script, I can clean up plot points, pacing, dialogue and character beats like nobody's business. My voice acting isn't too shabby either, although not at "professional" level.

email/résumés please (forget DA; for legal reasons not going to happen)

found a small trick :-)
was playing along then suddenly my FPS dropped to 25
So I went ok lets change something left everything on high and disabled BHAO or what ever it is and switch to FXAA x 4
And the game was solid 60FPS and smooth and no lost in graphic quality and cut scenes were solid 30 :-)
I do not think I will play this game after I am done with it, because it is slightly boring right now :-)

HDAO(+) and FXAA are different things though. The first is a method of Screen Space Ambient Occlusion - it adds shadows to areas where there would only be diffuse lighting and no direct scene lighting - whilst the latter is a form of antialiasing. Which one did you change?
I personally use HDAO (not +) as it looks better imho. SSAO is hardly noticeable for the vegetation like grass or bushes. And FXAA. Suffices for me, as fullHD on a 24" monitor already shows a pretty smooth picture.

Is there going to be a second replay
I do not think so
I find it a bit clumsy and a wee bit boring :-)

Mhm...I think there is FXAA, MSAA 2x and MSAA 4x...but I will check that ingame. ^^ FXAA is a performance saving post-process-method that takes no VRam, but GPU power, whilst the other two use up VRam.

Whao, came back and now you guys are launching a new indie? lol
I have to read your fanfics Cyan! Keep them coming!
I've always thought I've chosen the wrong industry, but I stuck with it as I'm not so sure if a career change would be wise. However I have modded since the first unreal, level editing, helped with the Infiltration mod which later got ported to UT, but I was very young and honestly my work sucked looking back lol.
My skill is rather amateur on all levels; writing (tried, but when I write fiction always end up losing myself in my world and forget what I was writing about), programming (only modding and on a 'professional' level - I was actually a consultant for a time but ended up helping up with IT - setting up a custom inhouse property management system, and 3d modelling (only to fix stuff / mod - Skyrim/Oblivion/Morrowind).
I never had professional 3d modelling software, and never got the opportunity to see what I'm really made of. However, Planet Explorers gave me a very easy to learn ingame creation system and here's some of my work:
And after I learnt how to skin / use textures:
I haven't released those two yet (the Orca yes, but the untextured version).
If given the chance or scholarship, maybe
However, I just do it for fun really, not sure if I'm even talented enough for the career change.
Just keep practicing. They look pretty good to me.

Okay, checked the options: There is one setting for "Post Processing Antialiasing" and one below for the regular one. Normally you'd only need one or the other. I use only "Post Processing Antialiasing" on the "Medium" setting and the normal antialiasing is disabled.
But once you have your Titan...crank everything up until you can't click it any higher lol. ![]()
PS: A screenshot of your actual settings for the antialiasing would certainly help. ^^ Thanks in advance.
