I do not see any information on an update :-)
Where are the update notes?

Some people are saying it is just a chest for MP
Others are saying it might just be a fix for the shields and stuff the screwed up on the last patch :-)

GODzilla
Looks like a great game :-)
But it is a console game
You can see the radial wheel and the consoles A button.
Is this going to come out on PC?
And hope it will not be a silly port :-)
So sorry, but I'm afraid I have to cut any connection with you now. You mocked the best game in the world from the best developer in the word so...bye. ![]()

Well it will come out for consoles, yes. But CD Project Red, a polish developer, started on PC and PC is their lead platform. The game will release on PC first (or at the same time) and it is already clear that it will look MUCH better on PC. They are really open about that fact. As they are open about almost anything regarding the development of this title. It was sheduled for release in February for example but they postponed it in December (and not like Rockstar, 2 weeks prior to release), saying that the game is feature ready but they wanna have 6 motns purely for polishing the beta testing the game.
CDPR has earned their reputation for many things, like DRM-free games (yes they release on Steam, but also on GOG.com and the latter will be a total DRM free version), very fair prices, free of charge DLCs (there has never been ANY paid-for content for their games) and supporting their games via patches, DLCs and something called an "Enhanced Version", which is some kind of special edition. This came out for The Witcher 1 and The Witcher 2 and also did not cost a dime.
They are, it seems to me, the last good developer on this damn planet. ![]()

Ok so this game will be PC first and we can trust them :-)?
When is it coming out?
It does look interesting
That small video entertained me more than 7 hours in DAI :-)

Well...trust? Trust is a big word. It's just that they never let their fans down in the past. They're the opposite big companies like EA or Ubisoft. Of course they wanna make a profit, but they don't rub that in your face all the time. ![]()

They just said that the update that was just released, is the song the girl is playing in the bar with the Mandolin :-)
Bioware tweeted it :-)
So nothing important at this time :-)

Well I may buy this game when it comes out:-)
It seems like fun
Are you always alone in this game or do you get dancing followers?
And should I play Witcher 1 and 2 I am sure they must be cheap to buy by now :-)

No, that was a sperate download. It can't be the patch....
Argh, Bioware and communication. This sucks. ![]()

Yes you should consider trying at least The Witcher 2. I'd recommend The Witcher 1, too but that's a bit oldschold. Okay, a lot oldschool. And thus hard to get into. It's still a great game imho.
Thing is, the story of these three is connected. And the series is about decisions and consequences.
Now I guess you heard that before, but don't judge too quickly. This has nothing to do with the cheap Bioware system of decisions and consequences, oh no. Consequences in The Witcher 1 and 2 really hurt, usually. They will come back and bite you in the ass. And there is also no clear indicator or what is a good or bad decision. Because there's often no such thing. Even something good can turn into something bad.
I tell you, The Witcher series is really great in this regard. ![]()

Well it would be nice to know what II is :-)
Since Bioware lacks in the information department:-)
I guess we will find out some time soon from somewhere :-)
Got to love Bioware PR department
You would think they would be telling the world about a fix or patch and what it fixed :-)

Just found it on Amazon
They say it is made by Atari, not sure if this is right
They still want 70 dollars for it
Must be something wrong with that price and the developers name :-)

Mhm...I still have a gift-key for The Witcher 1 on gog. Nobody wants it, so...if you'd like to have it, I can send it your way. You need an account on GOG, but that's a free account. You can then download it from GOG. It's DRM free. You can install it and use it without the need for any software from GOG. ^^
And...70$ Dunno what you found. Here are both games on amazon:
http://www.amazon.co...rds=the witcher
http://www.amazon.co...=dp_ob_title_vg
And on GOG.com:
http://www.gog.com/game/the_witcher
http://www.gog.com/game/the_witcher_2
Atari is the publisher btw.

Over all these patches my banter did not change. I have frequent banter no matter what. I switch companions and I switch areas. I travel via war table as much as possible.

On amazon.ca they want 69 dollars got TW2
But I will buy it from GOG at 19 dollars
Now is GOG something like Origin or Steam some client that keeps running in the background?

No. They have a client, but just for downloading. GOG started as a webshop that wanted to bring back old games - hence the name: Good old games.
Once downloaded you get a setup and can install the game anywhere. It it also not tied to your account. You can copy it and give a copy to any of your friends if you wanted. You can play it offline, too.
GOG is completely DRM free. That's why they joined forces with CDPR, they both have the same "mission" so to speak. ![]()
So...interested in a free The Witcher 1 copy?

Sure I will use it if you want to get rid of it :-)
Now does GOG downloads game updates also :-)?
Or do I have to get the patches on the web somewhere?
Please send instructions on how I use the code you want to give me?
Thanks Much

GOG com updates the downloadable setups for their games from time to time. If not, they provide the patch download on their site, too. Their download should download everything you need. I for a fact that both The Witcher Enhanced Edition as well as The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition are up to date. So your downloads should already be patched to the latest version.
I'll send you a PM with the key for the game and how to redeem it on GOG. ![]()

*Ahum* GOG is owned by CDPR since it's founding. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GOG.com
As for TW1 - I recommend DLing a few mods, it will make your experience slightly better. TW1 uses Bioware's (by now retired) Aurora engine which was also used for NWN 1 if I remember correctly, so it's really mod-friendly.

No problem. I had this key lying around for...well I guess for almost two years now, looking for someone who has yet to get The Witcher 1. All of my friends already owned. it. So I'm glad I found someone who wants to give it a try.
