I do recommend TW and TW2 and will be buying TW3 when it comes out in May :-)
I have GODzilla to thank for that :-)
I had never heard of those games or CD Project Red :-)
A small Polish company pumping out some great games :-)

But most of the 12 years old never heard of DAO and DA2 since DAO was not a console game and they are too young to have played DA2.
I do not care what people say about DA2, it was much more fun than DAI
8 hours of DAI nearly made my brain go numb :-)
Yesterday started The Witcher and before I knew it I had put 4 hours into the game:-)
And I was having fun :-)

That's why we play games, right? To have fun.

When you finish the Witcher games ...

If you like a great FPS with a good story and strong rpg elements you should check out STALKER: Call of Pripyat.

You should also check out all the mods for it.

Good choices both.

... life moves so fast these days it's hard to stay well informed sometimes.

In a much earlier post I asked if anyone else here was familiar with Mark Smylie's "Book of Dooms" through either his "Artesia" graphic novels or "Artesia: Adventures in the Known World RPG":

http://en.wikipedia....rtesia_(comics)

http://www.rpg.net/r.../11/11531.phtml

I find now that, after a long hiatus, he has published a pair of prequel novels:

http://robot6.comicb...in-prose-novel/

http://bibliosanctum...th-mark-smylie/

I know what's on my reading list next.

Your comment sound like this :-)
I love good sex, but been getting bad sex, but it's sex anyway, even if it's bad :-)

Just teasing Invisible Man

Yeah. I get that. It's just we've adopted Dragon Age and now we're orphans like Ollie in Denerim.

@Lady Mutare  It might be a while since my internet connection is very limited where I am right now but I'll eventually show up.  :)

@Ashen Nedra  Yikes , sorry to hear that. :(

@Invisible man  I've been ill, I'll get to reading rest of your story soon and comment.  :)

@MatrixGirl  Your analogy to Invisible man on keeping DAI.  PRICEless.  lol   :)

@Cyan GriffonClaw  Anything cool at PAX?  I was wondering where you disappeared to.  We have a writing forum now if you didn't know already.

I have a an issue with my lungs.. severe case of asthmatic like symptoms. It makes me weak and sleepy.  It's been worse then normal unfortunately.  I have a steroid inhaler I have to use daily that usually helps but it's not been so great lately.  That and the insomnia is kinda killing me.    I'll be okay.  Thanks for the concern.  :)

just figured I'd let people here know, I'm planning to give my computer some tlc in the beginning of next month, taking it in to get some work done on it, maybe I'll pickup new video card if all is well too, nothing to fancy, so if I vanish for a while at around that time, that's why, I'm not dead in a ditch somewhere, or at least I hope not.

I hope you get some good stuff for your computer.   :)

p.s  I read most of your story on our writer forum. I love what you have so far but you have this bad habit of going from present to past tense and vice versa.   I'll read more carefully once I'm feeling a bit better.

Peregrinus,

That sounds serious.

Is it like this constantly or does it run in cycles?

I would hope this is simply a "bad" time, or a change in medication would improve your condition.

I have good and bad days. It's especially bad when it snows/rains.  I've been to two different hospitals, well as two emergency type clinics and their diagnosis is.. "We're not sure what it is but here's medication that may help."  I'm on the third one that was prescribed to me. It's worked the best so far so I'm staying with it for now.

I'm afraid my medical expertise ends @ "iodine and a band-aid".

Glad you have something that works for now, but sounds like you need a specialist.

Of course, specialist = expensive even with good insurance.

Thankfully I have good insurance (it better be for what I'm paying).

LOL, especially Bethesda - Trip Friend

BTW, just realised Dragonfall is like Shadowrun x2, great companions, non-linear, and alot of improvements to combat. I hope they approach S:HK using the Dragonfall formula.

The writers are amazing btw, also in DMS, very unexpected, and pleasantly surprised

Yeah, they do have some great writers. I'll have to get into Dragonfall shortly.  I'm very happy they got their next one funded. They deserve it.

DLC. Really? Wow. Good luck getting people to buy DLC for a game they no longer own or want to play again.

I am enjoying The Witcher quite a bit :-)
The only thing weird is the lack of a VSYNCH
The game is running fully maxed out at 250 to 300FPS no screen tearing :-)
In the menu 2700FPS and that is not a typo :-)
The combat is weird having to wait for the proper time to hit with your sword :-)
And I made a mistake when I installed it so I can use keyboard and mouse:-)
It gave me 2 choices just mouse or keyboard and mouse, I must have click on mouse only :-)
Trying to figure out how to make it keyboard and mouse :-)
It is a good game, since I downloaded the editors cut, so I can have all the nudity :-)
I see what you were saying about making choices :-)
All in all it is a fun game, Thank you for the suggestion:-)
[...]

Pro-tipp: Fighting is much easier when, instead of looking for the visual indicator when to add the next strike to the combo, you try to listen for it. It's that "swish-swish" sound.

The cool thing is this: When you get the hang of it, you can fight blind. No kidding. Attack the enemies, close your eyes. Now THAT'S BADASS. :D

Oh and btw. there are two cool mods I'd suggest:

The walk mod: http://www.gog.com/f...walk_in_ots_mod

With this mod you can walk in the OTS (over the shoulder) mode using WASD. A new keybinding should appear in the options, you need to assign a key.

Scabbard-mod: http://www.nexusmods...cher/mods/231/?

Kinda self-explanatory. It has some bugs, so it's not a must-have, but I really like it.

Oh and while you're at the Nexus you might as well get lost in tons and tons of mods, muhahaha. :D I guess many people use the "Full Combat Rebalance". This mod got so popular that the author not only made one for The Witcher 2, but was then hired by CD Project Red and his mod officially patched into the game. :)

Bioware is now on Twitter bragging that they will release a video tomorrow.
DAI The Making of An RPG
You guys do not want to know what I posted in reply :-)
Of course the Twitter feed was full of idiotic boot lickers saying.
Thank you oh great Bioware Gods for DAI so much better than DAO and DA2.
What to expect from 12 years old console players.
Just could not resist putting a comment on that dumb tweet :-)

MatrixGirl, you are on fire! No sexual innuendo.

Keep it up!  What did you post exactly?

Could you please provide a link to your Twitter comments?

Hugs and Kisses

Hello all :-)
Here is a real funny thing :-)
Returned DAI to Amazon and got a full refund :-)
But the game is still in my list of games in Origin and registered to me :-)
So in 1 year from now if they fix that game I can re download it for free and the game cost me nothing:-)
Free game from Bioware :-)
Since Amazon is not going to contact Origin and say disable that CD key, the game is still mine :-)
LOL
There is always a way to get back at the 1% :-)

It's very strange that Amazon took it back. As if they're new to the whole DRM thing. "What is this...shhteeeam...you are talking about? And Origin, isn't that a developer for fine scifi operas?" xD

But good for you. And yes, that's their concern now, the game is still yours. ^^

Told Amazon that the game was a disaster and that Bioware could not fix the problems with all their patches.
I told them I had talk and sent emails to EA and Bioware and they could not fix the issues with the PC version :-)
The guy at Amazon said oh well if it does not worked and you talked to tech support you get full refund :-)
Already got my 90 dollars back and the game is uninstalled from my PC but it still shows in Origin that it is my game.
So I can download it when ever I feel and that equals a free game from Bioware:-)

Can you tell me how to install that walking mod in The Witcher :-)
I Google it and got some stuff that you have to create an override folder put the mod in there run the game and install the Mod.

Do you have a simpler way, never played with mods before :-)

Thanks much if you can make it easier to explain on how to do that :-)
