Would of course be easier had I installed the game, but I still have the mod on my harddrive, so I'll try...
The content of the zip that I have (downloaded years agao) looks like this:

And the readme says this:
Just dump the contents of the ZIP into your DATA directory, and choose to overwrite if prompted.
It goes on offering a different approach to adding the mod to the game:
The file "\DATA\SCRIPTS\wgsdefs.lua" is the one being replaced, if you don't want to overwrite it, just
open your file and add this line to the end:
g_Lua:PlayFile "walk_mod"
But if the first method works there's no need for that. Just copy it into the Witcher folder and done. A good idea would probably be to backup the wgsdefs.lua just in case.
The readme concludes with:
After installation, run the game, go to options, now there are two bottons that say "move forward",
the first is the walk botton.
If your download is not the same (other folder structure) I can certainly upload my version temporarily.
