Ah, QC ... how I hate doing it.
Check my work as I go and do a final? No problem.
Checking a truck-load of someone else's screw-ups?
That ain't no fun at all.
Those pipes have API or Hydril threads on 'em?
API. Last batch because whatever was headed to Sweetwater was cancelled. I'm going to treat myself this weekend to something. I don't know what it is, but it will be something.

A nice Italian dinner: Chicken Genovese and Chardonnay finished w/ espresso and tiramisu maybe?
... or Bar-B-Que!
You can't go wrong with either.
Morning MG.
I'm working on a new project, it'll be ready soon I'll post in the official patch thread.
I'll post up in a sec,

I don't think the mods will like this lol
Essorance
What they do not like the truth :-)
They sold and pumped out a broken game, they deserved some backlash from that POS DAI :-)
Been playing The Witcher and DA2 all day :-)
Still getting used to The Witcher even if it gave me 2 CTD, might have to remove that MOD that Godzilla told me to install :-)
Or the game is too old for new gear :-)
Eh, I'm on FFXIV but that game looks interesting.... Uhh forgot the name, the one that raised huge cash on Kickstarter, someone linked it in the community concern thread. RPG type game. Looks solid. When's the last time I even played a good RPG? KotoR? Jesus Christ.
Godzilla
or it does not like the version of the Nvidia driver I am using :-)
But that was 2 CTD in 5 hours of play ![]()
And we are a great group of people here :-)
Even my little evil friend GODzilla :-)
@GODzilla
Did you read my post on how Nvidia is going to fix the 970? :-)
With a hammer?
Sadly I missed it. Will have a look at the older pages...

We had Mexican. I had shrimp fajitas. Crazy good. I have a new gadget from Planet K so I am set.

Out of likes. WTF. Anyway, Essorance, thank you.

Just read the Nvidia forum now here what they may do to fix the 970 issue
They may issues a bios update limiting the card to 3.5GIG
Or release a driver that would restrict the 970 to go past 3.5Gig
Those are their options, or they may recall the product :-)
That's something I would actually prefer. The rest of the memory is nearly unusable anyway and I would want to get rid of another possible trouble maker on my graphic card.
Along with this though I also wanna like to see a drop in pricing. I don't want to pay for "phantom Vram" that's just there to make the product more attractive in an advertising.
Godzilla
They will fix it in 3 different ways :-)
1 They will send a firmware update to limit the card to 3.5Gig or Vram
2 They will have a driver that will make the card use only 3.5Gig of Vram
3 They will initiate a general recall
Option 3 will probably not happen :-)
But they do say that the issues is mostly for people using 4K monitors
But most of the new games coming out are going to need the 4Gig of Vram
So it is a tricky situation :-)

It's somewhat standard practice for hardware manufacturers do this.. I think they kinda goofed up this time since what they implemented did not work beyond their lab. :>
but they did market the card as 4 gigs of vram instead of just making it 3 gigs of vram. You have a valid point, @MatrixGirl
Godzilla
They should at least issue some sort of refund to people
People did pay for a card that has 4Gig of Vram
Not 3.5 Gig ![]()

What is a Planet K?

For now it may be only valid for people using 4k resolution or crazy settings (DSR) in combination with, for example, huge texture mods for games like Skyrim.
But people also buy strong graphic cards thinking about future games. And now we find out the GTX 970 is not as "future proof" as we'd like it to be. What a bummer.

Evening! It could be very likely the mod isn't in it's proper place or a new patch does not like the mod, etc. I don't recall ever getting a CTD with the first Witcher.
What is a Planet K?
A planet called "K". He's an alien obviously. But as long as he's a pc-playing alien I guess it's okay. ![]()

That is the reason I am going straight to the GTX980
Like this I know I will have to pay a bit more, but will have a great product that works as advertised ![]()

Ask your retailer if you can get three for the price of two. I'll pay the shipping. xD
BTW: When I had a look at the canadian prices (because you mentioned you paid 100$ more than usual for the ASUS Stryx) I noticed that your prices are considerably higher than here in Europe, which was quite a surprise to me.
Around here the GTX 970 cost around 350€, which is ~395 USD.
