I had a R.A.T. 5. After 6 months or so, the mousewheel was malfunctioning. Will never buy from this company again I guess.

I have a limited edition cyborg X joystick, it's a few years old, still kicks lower-back for flight/space sims.

Getting used to the mechanics in Darkest Dungeon.  On week 9, and my adventurers and mercenaries aren't completely bat **** crazy.  :)

Have you guys tried that banter fix using cheat engine btw?

This might just get me back into DAI once GreenTea releases 1.2 of his/her mouselook mod

Never had a problem with banter. Just wish you could speak to any companion outside of Haven or Skyhold. You could in Origins, but they seemed to have cut that aspect out. Shame. Made for proper immersion.

It is not Frostbyte either!

BioWoW. :(

The banter fix is fantastic Jackal, I was floored by how damned good the game became with chatty companions. Sure the crappy bits are still crappy, but the banter kind of glosses over the bad stuff a bit.

Meanwhile I've been on a space sim bender and discovered  WIng Commander Saga - The Darkest Dawn and am currently setting up a fully modded Freespace 2. I figured it might be fun to have a little story alongside my Elite Dangerous experience. But now DA:I is kind of fun, who saw that coming? lol!

Yes and you also benefit from simply re-merging your current mods. According to some of the users over at the Nexus the new version does it "cleaner" and the new archives and files are indeed smaller than before although I use the same mods. :)

Can you link to that please? I somehow missed that...although my banter feels okay-ish. ^^

my banter was ok-ish at first, though I still think the party was a bit less chatty than they were supposed to be, as the patches came out... chatter stayed the same or got worse. now, the games is fairly less interesting, not quite boring, though the lack of music does seem to hurt it even worse than a lack of banter.

So, guys, I have started to invite the usual suspects from the Master Thread, ,as well as others who, I think, share our views.

Please try to do the same as I'm sure I will be forgetting someone important and offend them. We need this thing to go 'viral' (on the BSN at least ;) ). We shall not be silenced.

I feel giddy like a schoolgirl on prom night. Thanks again to the Owner, Sylveria_Relden

Strength and Honor to all PC Gamers.

I recognize I am late to the party.  I received an invite at the very beginning, accepted it, and never found my way here.  Duh!  It wasn't until today that I saw Brogan's post (in the DA:I PC Concerns thread) about all the activity in the PC community, that it dawned on me that there was a FORUM for us, not just the news.  Doh!

Well, I am glad to be here and have some catching up to do.  Been a PC gamer for many years (30) ... and I got a relatively late start at it.  Am a huge fan of RPGs and definitely cut my teeth on the early Forgotten Realms titles like BG, BG2, IWD, Planescape .... the usual suspects.  I've supported most every BioWare title made up until DA:O or ME2, whichever was last.

The consolification of IP turned me off the BioWare stuff right around ME3/DA2 (neither of which I played).  I gave DA:I a chance because I bought into the hype .... shame on me.

Anyway, I look forward to reading more of this group's thoughts.

I still hold out some semblance of hope that DA:I gets fixed .... one way or another.   :D

I recompiled last night so I can use some of the mods that will take advantage of the configure options on 0.44 alpha. On a side note, The New Experience Table mod does indeed take care of the banter issue, at least for me. I've had very consistent banter ever since I installed that mod.   :)  Week 14 in Darkest Dungeon, 5 adventurers dead, 1 verge of insanity. :>

Good /morning/afternoon/evening everyone!

Howdy pardner.

I'm only on week five and have 4 dead and three near bsc.

Have to keep bailing on the dungeons to avoid party-wipe.

Spending all my (meagre) loot on food and bandages!

The key in surviving is unlocking the guild and upgrading the skills for your adventurers. I'm trying to get enough supplies to upgrade to better weapons.  And keep hiring new people and taking them on lower levels to get them leveled.

The key to that is loot, which I cannot seem to get enough of due to having nothing but invalids and psychos to adventure with.

I will have to try your "training camp" method ... hadn't thought of that one.

Yeah, especially important is the healer skills and also the stress reducing ability of your crusaders.

Hey, check out the new channel graphic I made for my youtube channel. Let me know if you like it.  :)

The problems with those Nexus mods is when Bioware sends out another update 2 things can happen;
1 the mods may trash the game
2 the mods may be deleted or destroyed by Bioware, heaven forbid that someone messed with their game and came out with something that works, but they did not think of it :-)
And you are playing with their Frostbyte engine :-)
You see they do not want to make the game better, and they certainly do not want other people playing with their superb programming:-) [being sarcastic on the superb programming] :-)
