So you've got to Wave 5 Demons and everyone else is now dead.  You're only half way through the wave budget and you are now the target of Fear Demons and Terrors not to mention good ol' DC.

Things are clustered around you and although you still have Barrier you can barely move due to being slowed by every enemy unit on the battlefield.

How do you break out of this?  Fade Step wasn't able to carry me far enough as I could still barely move and they just caught up with me.

Dispel

Great if I had it  <_<

I suppose out of

Chain Lightning

Fade Step

Static Cage

Barrier

Fade Step would be the most disposable one but it's hard to lose.  And more useful against the other two factions.

There's only a few hard counters to negating negative status effects. I hear you on not wanting to take a skill based on a very situational encounter though. Honestly the more realistic answer is to look at what happened to get yourself in that situation and adjust. Terrors can be CC and are prone to knockdown so hopefully you and your teammates help you out when you need it.

Tough choice, not to try to revive the others or stay clear.  Not like they can Gel  and I can usually tank it with barrier.

For reviving best practice is to kite the aggro enemies away from the downed teammates then rez one only since things are still aggro to you. Then the teammate can rez the others. Demons especially since you have to be conscious of the DC uppercut.

Get rid of Fade Step and/or Chain Lightning. Swap out for Fade Cloak and/or Dispel (or veilstrike). Reason for VS? If enemy is kd / weakened, especially under static cage (as they'll be put to sleep), they won't be doing panic/slow/kd on your team.

FC breaks all CC for yourself, and gives 2s invulnerability / walk through enemies. Bonus: Spirit Damage and KD if inside them. Additional bonus, not FS'ing around means mana restoration buff, giving +50% mana and +40% cooldown reduction. More spells, more mana, fewer wipes.

Hint: Fear Demons are spirit vulnerable, and lesser shades / wraiths don't have enough hp to survive a FC Decloaking Blast, especially if you group them up with static cage.
