In order for it to be polygamous all sides need to be in agreement. Neither Cassandra or Josephine is likely to approve of the Inquisitor was simultaneously wooing the other, so that I think that is where the issue creeps in. The Inquisitor isn't polyamorous, he/she is just cheating. 

 

Speaking of polyamory..technically Leliana could be polyamorous herself. Two of the potential outcomes for the meeting with Isabela at the Pearl in DA:O are group play with either Leliana & Isabela, or Leliana, Isabela, and Zevran.

I don't think that's entirely true, I mean hardened Leliana is okay with a bit of fun on the side here and there with the Warden's leave but we saw in Leliana's Song that she wasn't particularly fond of Marjolaine jumping into bed with anyone else, bard or no. She's pretty possessive.

Yes, I always thought this too. It goes perfectly with her  'must know every detail,secret, lie, and ect'  almost obsessive mastery of the game. In the wartable dialogue with culen, when he asks about a female mage warden there is this subtle edge to her voice.

 

That doesn't sound like someone who likes to share.
