Nice vid on the AW  B)

The AW is arguably the most powerful kit overall, but he is too tanky and too AOE oriented to be the GI of DAMP. I think he would be more like the 'Krobine' of DAMP.
The Archer is probably the closest thing to a GI Sniper in terms of gameplay, but his beta personality might make him boring at times. Another contender is the Assassin, who is more like a cqc/melee GI. Both are heavily weapon dependent, so you will need some good unlocks in order to make them shine.

Templar is the N7 Paladin (duh), AW is more like the TGI, and as you say the Archer is the GI. The Assassin is like the N7 Shadow, only not broken lol. Katari is like the N7 Slayer and the Necromancer is like the N7 Fury. That was what I had so far.  B)

So now I need to figure out who the Batarian sentinel, and vorcha. Beth and human engineers are so I can exclusively play them.

Mayhaps keeper for geth\human engineer?

Nah, the Keeper is Volus. Most definitely.

Not sure about Batarian or Vorcha...

Not the way I played mine. Midget mad bomber all the way.

One time I ended up pugging on the acid rain hazard and the pugs were all like "at least we have a volus." Shame I didn't have mic to tell them I'm not that type.

Then again I Kitty Pryde the Templar commander using fade cloak all the time so maybe it is the same.

Edit: I've just realized that I now have to make a psycho vanguard volus keeper build. I'm thinking fade cloak, fade step, and barrier. Not sure what skill 4 should be. Chain lighting or static cage maybe? Something for long range punch and crowd control.

What's the damage like and does it combo with any of the other skills listed?

Would look myself but at work so in depth study would be ill advised.

Kinda wandered off topic here this conferring might be best moved to Pm's or it's own thread.

Nope. None of the skills you list really combo with each other. Static Cage and Chain Lightning combo with Veilstrike to inflict Sleep, and Dispel in an Endritch detonator for combos, but that's about it. Fade Step, Fade Cloak, Barrier, and Veilstrike would have no combos in them, but they would do a great job in a chain like this:

  1. Barrier first for protection.
  2. Veilstrike enemies from a distance to immobilize them for a couple of seconds.
  3. Fade Step to enemies to close the gap
  4. Fade Cloak into them to finish.

The main option instead I can see would be Static Cage instead, as it could potentially group enemies for maximum damage from Fade Cloak.

Aye that's why I was considering static cage for the clustering. Plus it's nice for the team as well.

But yeah that's similar to what I was thinking rotation wise. Though I do like to hang loose and play that by ear. Especially with fade steps utility as a oh **** button so I'm likely to save it for the getaway if I think I can approach safely.

Shadow's cloaking works better than the Assassin's.

By Death Blow is far more reliable than the Shadow's Shadow Strike. I mean, at least the Assassin can hit bosses. Just sayin'

If one considers the totality of the GI's kit and the options available to it, I would say Hunter.

Recall that even a sniper GI is extremely proficient at melee range due to Geth melee multipliers, Proxy Mine debuff and the interaction with damage cloak. Archer doesn't have the same transitional capability and doesn't have Stealth to guarantee a damage spike like Hunter, Assassin or Alchemist (or GI obviously). Outside of Hidden Blades Assassin is restricted to melee, while even a shotgun GI is proficient at ranged sustained DPS due to Hunter Mode accuracy bonuses. Alchemist I don't feel like I really have to go into because I don't see anyone making a serious case for that above.

I don't think Arcane Warrior is a good fit unless both games are stripped of their internal complexity and the characters are simply judged on how easy it is to carry a game with them while facing fewer systemic weaknesses than other kits. GI's playstyle doesn't match AW's because AW's single-target damage output is lackluster compared to GI's or DA's rogues. AW's highest kill pressure is in AOE situations which, aside from some fairly boutique Geth heavy melee spawn-bombing strategies, does not match GI overall. And obviously, GI does not facetank enemy damage and gain shields, it kills them before they can do enough to kill it.

Of course there are some spots in which these kits seem like the GI more than others, such as Archer's MoD or AW's damage bonus against weakened targets, or Archer's penetrating ranged burst DPS. But if all comparisons are wrong, I think Hunter is the least wrong.

I hit bosses all the time with Shadow - only Atlas gets the HM and Shotgun to the face.

I thought it would only hit the Geth boss... it's been a long time, so I forget things lol. That's still one enemy the Shadow could not hit with Shadow Strike that the Assassin can hit with Death Blow.

I'm honest - I don't even know what a death blow is - I stopped playing her because running like a chicken after enemies and missing all the atacks is not my kind of fun.

It's one of the most damaging abilities in the game, and exclusive to the Assassin. Essentially it's a two stage attack: The first stage is a thrust that hits for like 300% weapon damage, then the second stage hits for up to 1,200% weapon damage in a small AoE arc. This is then modified by critical, stealth, flanking, etc.

The catch is that the second stage will only trigger if the original target has less than 50% health. The damage on the second stage is variable dependent on the remaining health of the enemy. The lower their health, the more damage it does.

The upgrade for Death Blow, Thrill of Victory, makes it so that it also has no cooldown if it kills an enemy.

Now the problem: Death Blow costs 50 stamina. Dance of Death, which is supposed to regenerate 50 stamina on kill, frequently does not work with Death Blow. This means that while Death Blow should technically be a free massive damage attack with no cost or cooldown (as long as you pick your targets wisely), it becomes a stamina sapper.

She's like a Drell Assassin with its Melee tracking. Lots of missing, but when it lands... the priiiiiiiiiiize...

Hey, that Fury has some ninja-moves! I went into Silver once with a mate just to pommel things to death with the Fury and Drell. We also died a lot. It was kind of embarrassing.

Then that devolved into the "nutcracker" match playing with Volus Engineers equipped with Batarian Gauntlets against Cerberus. I kind of felt sorry for them... I mean, I even felt a bit sore after that game from just watching it.
