As a Colts fan I'd like to say I nearly drank myself to death last night. I can't believe I have to suffer another super bowl with that POS team from new england. It is proof that there is no god.
Humm, i see it completly the other way, funny

We beat you guys so bad, maybe you should head down to your stadium and make sure Irsay hasn't rented a bunch of moving vans (again). Heh.
And we're on to Glendale. Go Pats.

And here is the problem. POS boston fans are the worst fans. They don't celebrate their teams victory, they have to go out and find the fans of the team they beat and talk smack. It comes from years and years of losing in their sports. Oh and remember the celtics of the 80s? You owe that to a boy from French Lick IndianaWe beat you guys so bad, maybe you should head down to your stadium and make sure Irsay hasn't rented a bunch of moving vans (again). Heh.

Actually, that's exactly how to celebrate a victory. Especially one so lopsided as this.
I wouldn't have rubbed it in so much if you hasn't made the pos comment in the first place, dome-boy. ;p

Thank God it wasn't the Patriots and the Packers, I don't know if I could have handled that- the two most vomit-inducing quarterbacks on the two most vomit-inducing teams squaring off in the SB? Yeah, no thanks.

I'm astounded the line is currently pick'em
Seattle should be the favorite.
Especially considering the way they won yesterday. For all the sports fans on this forum, of any sport, how often does a team make an unbelievable, improbable comeback from a sure loss, and not ride that momentum for a victory in the next game?

I agree that Seattle should be the favorite but to be fair, New Englands win was pretty impressive, albeit for different reasons, and especially when you consider it against the last game. After struggling to run the ball at all while coming back to beat the Ravens, NE ran the ball down Indy's throat and ended up just steamrolling them in every single facet of the game. Hate them all you like (I will, thanks), but Tom Brelichick and the Pats are as good as anyone at finding different ways to win.

That's actually an interesting question- intuitively, it could sort of go both ways; you could see teams either having alot of momentum and confidence and doing well the next game, or struggling because they had to expend so much mental/physical effort in the comeback. Of course, this is the sort of question where everyone could arm-chair quarterback it and just speculate, but its an entirely factual/empirical question- we could look at how teams actually fare the game following a win in which they overcame a deficit of a given size. Unfortunately, there's no way I'm going to mine stats myself and Google didn't turn anything up so I guess speculation is all we have- I'll leave you to it. ![]()

Nor I you. But you're throwing poo around like a zoo monkey.
Regardless, I don't see why classy matters for NFL fans. It's a brutal game where attrition rules the day as much as skill and training. If my team wins, I'm gonna enjoy it. I also like large swords, shotguns and krogans. I'll save my classiness for games that I actually participate in (except Diplomacy, eff that).
In the meantime, I will heed the wisdom of the former Governor of Culifornia.

Most Boston fans aren't like what you are describing, unless you are talking about trolls who do it on forums like this where they can hide behind a mouse and keyboard, in which case EVERY fanbase is like you are describing. We are passionate and we actually care. Sure, we can trash talk with the best of them, but we usually respect our opponents unless they have a reason to not deserve our respect (ehm HABS ehm). I even respect the damn Yankees. Hell, when Manning finally won it all in '06, although I was crushed after that AFC Championship, I gave him the respect he finally deserved.
I'm personally quite sick of people stereotyping about Boston fans. It's simply jealousy. I get it. This city has won championships left and right the past 15 years, and one could say we are spoiled. I will tell you first hand though, we don't take it for granted. I grew up with all my teams pretty much sucking, and now they are all not sucking (safe for the Celtics). It's something that won't last forever, and we are enjoying it while it does. So please, we are sports fans just like the rest of the country, don't assume we are all a-holes.
There is nothing that makes me happier in life than to see my hometown teams celebrating a championship like 9 year old kids. The biggest smiles come from stuff like this. Sorry for the rant!

Well I was gonna say something but Arnold is too badass for me to fight.
I will slip in one just cuz I am drunk.
Joe Montana went 18-1 in a season once, the difference? He won the Super Bowl that year.
