For everyone calling yourself master race, don't. It makes you a potential neo Nazi according to PC Gamer and SJWs.
Maybe it's best if we don't turn this thread into that kind of discussion.
In an attempt to move back on topic, I'll just say a little bit about what drew me to PC gaming. I guess the main thing is that the kind of games where having a controller would be most useful were exactly the kinds of games I least enjoyed, because they demanded a lot in terms of reflexes, hand-eye coordination, etc. (For instance, I'm convinced that there are some NES games like Ninja Gaiden and Punch Out! that, due to my poor reaction time, I'm just physiologically incapable of ever beating).
By contrast, in the early days of PC gaming there was a lot of stuff that just didn't translate to consoles at all, like point-and-click adventure games, turn-based RPGs, space exploration games like Star Control, etc. Those were the gaming experiences that most drew me to gaming in general, and in spite of a lot of the crap you had to put up with back then (does anyone remember boot disks?), I've stuck around ever since.
