makes me glad for Paradox patches, they'll put out 6 in a week and the game will still be broken, but then again they really should be considered features in many ways, naked Roman Emperors? Mongols converting to an obscure and mostly dead branch of Christianity? Tournaments that last forever killing thousands

No, there isn't even patch notes for consoles yet. God knows how long we have to wait before console patches.
PC users are beta testing the patch for us, so it'll be along shortly. ![]()
Next gen. consoles are pretty stable anyway, so less to fix.

Did you checked the key binding in options, there is not predefined key for it, but if you are patched there out to be an empty slot for it.
After reading all these comments I was expecting a very broken game after the patch, yet the walk toggle works just fine, shields are fine, everything works fine.

Blaming that there is not patch yet?
No, that's mostly because certification process. Hopefully they take more time to actually make the patch work as well and not bug up the game more than it already it ^^

Yes no key binding for it, nothing with walk anyway lol

There's apparently an issue that's preventing the keybinding from appearing for some players who have the patch installed.Did you checked the key binding in options, there is not predefined key for it, but if you are patched there out to be an empty slot for it.
I'd suggest possibly trying to launch the game after moving the two profile files from the save folder and see if the list of bindings is correct.

Many of us have the luxury of being able to put a bit more time in between dev and release, these guys don't and they are on a much more varied and broad platform.
They are still responsible for whatever they release. The software industry has a bad reputation because of the tendency to blame the users rather than taking responsibility for the defects in your own product. Indeed it is often the user's fault, but it can also become a convenient excuse for poor QA.
To but it bluntly: if they release it on X platforms, it's their responsibility that it works on each and every one of those X platforms. I don't even disagree with you that it's difficult to release such software, I know it is, but as a consumer I shouldn't have to worry about that.
Getting back on topic, I never had any particular issues with the controls or with banter, and I never even thought to myself "I wish I could walk in this game". Nevertheless, it's good that they've been working on it. I just really hope they haven't forgotten about all the game mechanics that don't work properly, because that's the only thing I really don't like about the game.

Odd, try what devSin suggested maybe?
But, to make sure that you have patched version go to your DAI folder (where the game is installed) and look for installerdata.xml in the _Installer folder
if you are patched you should have this line (it's fifth line from the top):
<gameVersion version="1.0.0.4" /> if you have <gameVersion version="1.0.0.3" /> then your game is not patched.

Also never had any issues with party banter, except they run out of things to say after 10 lines and start repeating if you roll with the same group. Since the patch my dream team refuse to speak

Yep and it's been fixed already. If you're using mods and can't see the Walk Key in options, make a new patch with the latest version of Mod Manager.

Wheres the fix for the cut scene crashes?
I was having this issue.
I fixed it by upgrading my video card. The one I had before was a Nvidia GTX 650, and was having constant crashes in cut scenes, even at the lowest graphics settings (though they were fewer once I HAD lowered the settings). Upgraded to a GTX 770, and haven't had a single issue since. It's the only thing I changed, as my drivers were always up to date.

Live in America. Only holidays I was guaranteed was Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Some years I would also get the 4th of July and Labor Day off depending on scheduling. I had three weeks vacation. In 2011 we were bought out by a bigger company and we lost the 4th and Labor Day and were talking about half days for the others. Also only got two weeks of vacation and they would give you the stink eye when you asked for it.
You, sir, work for a crap company. Most companies give off about 7 holidays per year. Sometimes people have to work a couple of those holidays, but they are given a different day as compensation.

It says I have 1.0.0.4 weird, why I cant walk? What my quizzy like running to much? Or he is running away from Josi after he broke up with her?

While the latter is likely possible, you dog you, do you have the workaround for the fixed FPS set in your properties on Origin? I have read that that causes this issue as well, I think...

I was really looking forward to some of the story driven patches. In four playthroughs I haven't seen anything of a quest from Solas apart from the initial one for the elven devices, which you can stumble upon anyway, without him prompting you. But the shield and banter bugs are stopping me installing it. Sad bunny.

Nobody is saying they aren't responsible for it, least of all them. As a consumer you shouldn't, no, but equally if you and everyone had even a modicum of understanding of the context and the situation and the process, you might be slightly inclined to be rather less shouty and rather more patient...
...actually, do you know what?
I don't even care. Your stuff is just a marginally more reasonable version of the same cobblers that pretty much gets spouted day in and day out on this forum. You at least have the gumption to be vaguely more adult about it.
If you people had the game that you deserved, rather than the one that you have, then you really would have something to complain about.
I don't suppose it has occurred to you that game mechanics might take longer to fix, assuming they are "broken" - (a sadly over-used term) - in the first place? They can't fix everything all at once.
You people want a patch but you want everything to work and you want both immediately; you want your cake and you want to eat it too, there's nothing wrong with that, but sometimes you have to wait a bit.

Ooh, this doesn't look good. So glad I waited instead of installing the patch right away. It pays to have a little patience and wait, I guess.... though I do feel bad about the people who had to beta test this for us. Think I'm gonna hide in offline mode for a while until they fix these issues.
One question though... some people are saying the patch removes the duplication exploit. Is this for real? Please tell me it's not true. Ugh, why would they do that!? I love that exploit. It's the one thing that allowed me to escape the utter tediousness that is material collecting. They should have expanded the exploit to include herbs, not remove it entirely. My game may be buggy here and there, but it's not so broken that I'd trade off that little trick just so Varric would stop doing squats during conversations. What a disappointment. *Inquisitor disapproves*

That prevents the toggle from reversing state (so once you start walking, you can't stop). While the latter is likely possible, you dog you, do you have the workaround for the fixed FPS set in your properties on Origin? I have read that that causes this issue as well, I think...
The issue here is that the binding never even shows up in the options. It seems to be an issue for people who modded their game.

One thing I did notice, is that after installing the patch, Leliana started doing one-legged squats...? And the Western Approach Requisition Officer was buried to the neck in sand!
All else seems OK from my end - I never used the FPS fix so maybe that is what is causing some issues for people. The walk toggle was right there was soon as I opened the Key Bind options. Set it, used it. No issues.
