So is anyone actually getting less party banter after the patch? Before it, I was going at a solid 2-3 banters every 40 minutes or so, but now I haven't gotten one in that time.

I wouldn't know. I'm only now starting a new playthrough as a Tal-Vashoth.

Hmm... my Vitaar only appear when I craft something but not during gameplay or when I equip something. I take it this is a known bug?

It was enabled.

I'd like to chime in and say that I haven't heard any party banter since the patch. I haven't been able to play a ton yet, but it is sounding awfully quiet.

Without them revealing the mechanics of how banter is triggered we're all just guessing at what they might have done and how it might impact us. This is why sometimes transparency in mechanics is important.

It's the same for me .

It seems less random every 30/50 minutes I will get a banter .

Possible it's going to solve the problem of companions being silent in some areas , but erf...there's some really long and awkward silence going on now all the time.

For me it depends on exactly what you call banter. If it's any voice form an adviser or comapanion then yeah more of it but if it's actual conversations between two companions then about the same as pre patch 3.

The Patch 3 notes implied a small patch.

 

"In the upcoming Patch 3 for Dragon Age: Inquisition, our primary focus was on fixing bugs, particularly ones that blocked progression or hampered the player experience." ...
