I'd also like to skip on this patch until the modder who provided the walk-script has a new and compatible version ready. I got used to "jogging" on pc, the perfect speed for indoors. Not too slow, not too fast. Yeah, a scripter achieved what should've been in the game a month ago. Now Bioware strikes back, still one step behind though (pun totally intended). ![]()
Unfortunately I heard that Origin overrides your settings when an important patch is due. You can set to "don't update" your games all you like, it will just do it. Which will force me to stop playing and wait for a new script. It sucks so hard. ![]()

and for us older skoolers with broken and frozen SAVES/AUTOSAVES
we STILL cannot play our 60+ hour CHARACTERS
On top of which: people are reporting DISC CANNOT BE READ ERRORS AS SOON AS THE DISC IS OUT OF THE BOX
on 360 and ps3

where are the fixes for two hander?
where are the fixes for alot of detonations?
where are the fixes for for the knight enchanter self instant kill and bugged combat clarity?
where are the fixes for necromancer?
where are the fixes for weakness not being proc'd for rift mage skills?
where are the fixes for max guard total and the armor rating for the front not the back?
where are the fixes for reaver's skills using more health than they should?
where are the fixes for for some shatter procs bypassing the shattered enemy or only doing 1 damage?
where are the fixes for Templars and the problems of blessed blades and stunned enemies not getting detonated by spell purge?
where are the fixes for that various broken rogue skills? evade upgrade? throwing knife targeting? Leaping shot and flank attack leaving you to fly across the map?
where are the fixes for the busted storm and winter trees?

what a travesty.. this is like, a week's worth of work, tops. not a month++. well at least party banter got fixed, but what happened to the mirror to fix your face, or, well, everything?
also, idk what the infinite gold/influence glitch was, but why's everyone complaining about it being removed? there's more than enough of both - gold is utterly worthless except for buying IP, and even after maxing that out and buying all the banners/beds/crafting recipes i still had like 40k left over.

This is a bug fix patch with a range of important issues addressed.
A 'face melter' is not a bug it is prospective new content.
Complaints about the infinite influence exploit being addressed must only be being voiced by casuals.
As we know from the BSN threads, this game is really easy on Nightmare difficulty (apparently) ![]()

Anyway, I wonder if Fortifying Blast still causes the persistent glow effect. That's the part that makes it unusable (not doing anything just makes it useless).

I notice a distinct lack of "fixed frequent DirectX-related crashes." A few of these fixes are nice, particularly the multiplayer key bug, but what I really want is to not have to restart the game every 10-15 minutes, every time I use an ocularum, every other time I enter the war room, and every time the planets align.

Well, I'm using CE and DCT and Nostromo macros and the Logitech mouse control panel to FORCE something that basically resembles real keyboard and mouse controls and tactical camera. But until BiowEAre completely reworks their keyboard and mouse controls, tactical camera, TACTICS, UI, auto-attack, and other key feature that clearly should be part of a game "built for PC gamers", then my reviews everywhere will remain a big fat "1" because in current form that's all this game deserves.
So, like patch 2, it's great that actual bugs are being addressed, but it's simultaneously inexcusable that the more absurd parts of the "game design" have so far gone mostly unaddressed.

That was the one I was looking for as well, more than anything else. I was really hoping that would be fixed in this patch because the game is pretty much unplayable for me right now because of DirectX crashes in every other cutscene more or less.
Looks like I'll have to wait a bit longer to start my second playthrough.

Since I am one of those - apparently extremely rare and lucky - PC keyboard/mouse gamers that have had almost - stress almost - no issues with the game of any kind....they had me at the first line.

Well done, still slightly annoying that it wasn't there to start, but if it is in now, then I'm good. Definitely feel for the people who are having massive issues though. However, they did say "small" patch, so perhaps the next one will fix the big game breaking bugs those people are experiencing.
Also, tac cam no longer centering is welcome news.
Scanning through the list of other SP fixes, I can't recall - other than Varrics squats - encountering any of them.
As I said, must have been extremely lucky. Or perhaps unobservant...guess I'll never know...

soloing a game on nightmare with 5 different characters is casual

let me check my nightmare privilege
and the point of mentioning gold and influence was that they took there time working on that small little **** instead of working on something like the necromancer tree or all the detonators in the two hander

What on earth is wrong with the necromancer tree aside from an occasional bug when you spirit mark a quest enemy?

To be honest I hadn't heard of any of the issues in Biotic's list.
Not a criticism of Biotic, they were just issues I wasn't aware I was experiencing.
It was really just keys and pots for me - I'm happy now.

it's explosion is 200% instead of 600%
I get no extra damage vs panic'd enemies
That you die and you get a 10 second spirit rarely procs and you have to be controlling said necomancer to get it to proc
spirit mark glitches the game and wont let cutscenes play or wont let me sheathe my weapons

A couple of his issues are legit though, detonators on 2 handed sometimes glitch, as well as Blizzard when you run out of mana. Evade's upgrade doesn't work as intended either. Other than that I really have no idea what the problems he's trying to refer to are.
I'm really happy we're getting walk toggle, less random banter and the camera no longer moving when I switch characters on tactical camera(I found it really annoying). Just give me that extra zoom out and I'll be really really happy.

Pretty sure it's explosion has always been 600% and it always spreads. I've played 3 playthroughs, one where I myself partly played as a necro and another where Dorian literally never left my party.
You also do get extra damage against panic'd enemies, in fact you can damage them a bit more than usual before breaking their panic. The bonus ain't even that great in my opinion, and its a crappy mechanic because you only get like a 2 second window before breaking the panic, barely giving you the chance to utilization the amplification on one spell.
I remember seeing spirit Dorian more often than not when I was playing- and no I wasn't controlling him, even though anyone in my partly rarely died.
Turn-off your spirit mark when the battle is done.. It's a toggle move.
