Tested it around 3 times in a row, against 3-2-3 enemies. Seems to work as intended (there's a slight delay before the explosion occurs). 600% damage gets applied on 3 instances, 200% base damage, 200% walking bomb damage, 200% first tick of walking bomb, and ticks naturally. Spread worked fine, Walking Bomb is applied on all those affected by the spread possibly creating a chain.

However, they did say "small" patch, so perhaps the next one will fix the big game breaking bugs those people are experiencing.
Not sure if sarcasm or not, but going with not unless corrected.
Surely 'big game breaking bugs' would have been addressed in Patches 1 and 2 ?
If BioWare is fixing Varric's leg movements,
surely they would consider that anything else is either:
- User system specification, configuration or driver issues, or
- Working as intended, or
- Problem exists between chair and keyboard.
The way I read it, outside of DLC patch updates, patching is now essentially done.
(DAO had 5 patches total, DA2 had 4)
If anyone still experiences issues post this patch,
they should surely be heading over to EA Answers for a direct communication,
because waiting for some 'big fix' to arrive may be a delusion.
It's like having a corrupted save and expecting some 'miracle patch' to fix it.
It won't, you reload a past working save.
I'm not a development expert, so I my have that wrong, happy to stand corrected.

Maybe you kill the mobs too fast it rarely gets the chance to properly trigger? Or you might actually not notice, since as I said after you kill the mob there's a short delay before the explosion and spread occurs? Or maybe its a 360 bug (which would be rather odd but not implausible).

As we know from the BSN threads, this game is really easy on Nightmare difficulty (apparently)
Isn't it? I played through first time on Nightmare w/ friendly fire and yeah, I had to cheese through some fights, but that was just bad planning on my part. Playing through again now and it's trivial. Which is fine because if it were hard to the point of having to use taccam/do any micromanaging at all I'd probably shoot myself in the head over the retarded AI. Speaking of, when's that getting fixed? Oh right, it's not..

And you, obviously, being a games developer as you are, would know exactly how much work it takes, and indeed how a project of this nature works, yes?
What exactly do you do for a living? If it is as a games developer I hope to god you're never in charge of timescale estimates or budgets.
Ofc idk the actual number, but we've all seen previous patch cycles - you get a feel for these things after a while. As for what I do, well not much - just a theoretical physicist at literally the best physics institution in the world (note: this is irrelevant, yes?)
Also in case it wasn't obvious - I was of course kidding - I realise some things may be hard to nail down, such as the party banter bug, which they mentioned they couldn't reproduce - I assume they gave up after a while and just made it fixed/non-random. Still, I did expect a lot MORE things to be fixed - you'd think something like the frequent CTDs/framerate drops/audio stutter to have priority over.. mouse cursor scaling.

It definitely wasn't sarcasm. And you could be right, of course, about patching being done.
DA:O had 5 patches - and DA2 4 - as you say, but they were also significantly smaller games built on a familiar engine that Bioware was practiced with patching (and programming in general). I am certainly not expecting or demanding another patch, in case that was unclear to anyone, as I mentioned, the game as is works absolutely fine for me, with only a handful of CTD in around 120 hours of game time. And I still get CTD when playing Origins for any length of time, so it is something I'm relaxed about.
All I really meant, was that given the sheer size of DA:I and the nature of the patches so far, I wouldn't be ruling out additional patches in the mid term future. Some of the bugs people will be experiencing if they still are after applying this patch will absolutely be 'their' issue, i.e. dodgy software/attempted hacks etc and no one in their right minds would expect Bioware to be accounting for that in their patching processes, but if there are genuine gamebreaking bugs, given how new Frostbite is to Bioware, I would think there would still be consideration of further patches.
It is more than two months since release and PC keyboard/mouse players are only just getting a walk bind key "soon", so there are clearly serious issues with patching DA:I quickly. So, to recap, not expecting/demanding anything further - my one remaining request/expectation is being met in this patch - but won't be surprised if there are more.

You may well be right and that would be great for those asking.
I guess that may then be more 'enhancements and improvements' such as the 'face melter'.

I like the walk toggle and other fixes but, really did buying influence need fixed. No more being able to save my mats for crafting, I'll have to do all of those requisitions to get perk points. Ugh, slow going that way to get all 20 we are allowed. (That or I sell the mats for gold to buy those treaties and agreements if we can even buy them anymore.)

Near the entrance to the Solasan temple in the Forbidden Oasis, if you attack or move your Tactical Camera towards the three Venatori standing guard, within a few seconds, the game will crash.
Is there any work around for this issue? I have had this quest open for some time and left it for other maps and each time I return it's a guaranteed crash whether I use tac cam or not. Even tried just running by the guards but still crashes. I was able to original enter and do some of the shard areas, so this is on returning after more shard collection.

The problem isn't that you could buy them; the problem is that you could sell them back before leaving the store, keeping all your money while also getting the influence and power (and since the items stay in the store that way, you can just keep doing it to get maximum influence without spending a single coin).I like the walk toggle and other fixes but, really did buying influence need fixed. No more being able to save my mats for crafting, I'll have to do all of those requisitions to get perk points. Ugh, slow going that way to get all 20 we are allowed. The same exploit is possible for other "plot" items (items that set some variable or flag, like Skyhold upgrades or codex entries). Hopefully they'll fix those too, although I imagine they're lower priority (you can't really abuse buying windows for Skyhold more than once).
