The Keep feature has been an excercise in frustration.  I spend an hour making my choices, reading all the guildes on this forum on how to export it and it still gives me default world state.  I'm honestly very pissed as one of the main reasons for me to start another playthrough is to use Keep in a different world.

My desired world state is loaded in the tapestry and exported, I imported it at the start of my new playthrough.  When I go to check my world state in Keep it is the default.... again.  I really hate Keep.

Hi samb -

When you say you're checking your world state in the Keep, do you mean in the "Playthrough states" section? If so, is it all plot choices or just your heroes which appear incorrect?  At present, playthrough states will always show default heroes, even if a custom hero was selected in the world state you made.

Can you also confirm that when you started the new playthrough that you saw a displayed time stamp for your world state, and not just "Default World State"?  If you're seeing an actual timestamp, and still have incorrect plot choices shown for your playthrough state, we could try looking into things a bit further.

Thanks for getting back to me.

Here's what happened.  I made a world state, made sure it was on the tapestry, exported it to DA:I with a timestamp.  Then I started a new game and selected to import a world state.  I then was confused when Varric said something that contradicted my choice (ie Craver being alive).  I went to Keep and saw everything was back to default.

And that is where I am now.

When you set up your export, did you follow the steps in our guide? If not, you can find it here: http://forum.bioware...to-inquisition/. You can also double check that your world imported correctly by following the instructions here: http://forum.bioware...through-states/

If you have followed all these steps and it's still not working, please let us know.

I guess this new playthrough is stuck forever in default.  I guess I'll start again....

You might have to create another world state because that seemed to help me with my default world state problem. (I saw someone suggest this elsewhere-- not sure if it was on BSN or gamefaqs)

After the latest patch, the Keep doesn't want ot import my world states to the game too. Well, I only guess it's because of the patch, because it worked few days ago. I'm on PC, btw.

I'm having the same problem.  Patched my game an hour ago and proceeded to make a new game and it loaded "Default World State".  Checked to see if my account was logged in, it was.  Signed out of the keep and origin and logged back in...still didn't work.  Logged back out of both accounts, cleared my cache on my browser, logged back into the keep, created a new world state for good measure and exported it to my game. Logged back into origin, started a new game and still loading "Default World State".

I've played twice before already and restarted multiple times so I KNOW how the Keep works. In fact, I started a new game a couple of days ago and it worked perfectly fine.  Only thing I did differently is I patched my game.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the game does connect to the server

I had a similar problem today I exported a save state for a new character the keep said it exported but the export button disappeared.  When I tried to start a new character it only would use the default state.  It connects to the dragon age server however it will not load my world state.  I tried different world states deleting it and making a new world state it still wouldn't load.   Now no world state will load whatsoever what will i do.  I had to delete my past character because Iron Bull's Reaver Tree was missing.  Now I can't even start over without the default world state.  Is there a limit to how many world states you can export?

I'm on PC too and I had the same problem today, game does connect to the server but doesn't load anything other than the default world state.

I have a similar problem on PS4. I managed to get the Keep to work last night, but when I tried to make a new save today, it wouldn't let me import a custom state. I tried making minor changes to using a default hero in both Origins and 2, but still nothing. I even made another world, similar, but not exactly the same, and still I can't get it to show up on the PS4 when creating a new character.

Hi all, just popping in to say we're aware of the issue and are investigating it. We'll post an announcement at the top of the page when the issue has been resolved.

 Oh thank the Maker!

I thought I was doing something wrong. Read that it was a Keep problem and not a patch problem. That is even better news. I'd hate to hear the sentence from Bioware, "We had to roll the patch back."

At least it being a Keep issue, this should not take too long to resolve. Sounds like a "signal" issue to me.

Yes, not to worry, we've determined this is not related to the patch. :)

Bioware had a pug party in the keep office. And they broke the keep :)
