Patch 3 now downloadable on Origin! - Destruction Route nonexistent, Keybug not fixed, Rampage broken, Pots broken

To install: Right-click on game in Origin -> Check for update

 

Patch 3 claims:

  • Rampage fixed
  • Key bug fixed
  • DC nerfed
  • Pots respawn fixed
  • No abilities bug on start fixed
  • Buffed strength of spirits
  • Fortifying Blast (mind blast upgrade) fixed
  • New destruction route for Elven Ruins

 

After some testing:

 

  • Rampage doesn't heal you on dragon rage anymore
  • Key bug still exists
  • DC has suffered a significant nerf. Glyph attack does very little damage. Fear duration lasts shorter.
  • Pots have been fixed Pots still broken
  • No abilities bug -> Still needs testing
  • Buffed strength of spirits -> Still needs testing
  • Fortifying Blast now works
  • Destruction route is nowhere to be found
  • Some armors color scheme have been changed (keeper, archer, etc)

Was hoping for some mention of the no error CTD that happens to some PC users, but I guess not. Still, happy the key bug, pots and rampage are being fixed, bout ****** time tbh.

I imagine it would be today for pc, tomorrow for PSN, not sure which day is the update day for Xbox's systems.

TL;DR

DC has actually been buffed. I don't know why you assume that's a nerf.

God forbid we actually have something challenging in this game.

Lovely. Now I might consider using mind blast on more characters.

Now my reaver can finally play in perilous without being completely useless.

 

All in all, this is a good thing. Im glad that this has finally been announced, even though I think its a month too late. Thanks bioware. Now if only we can get some more interesting weekend events...

%100 agree .. I like playing the Demon Commander as he is currently, provides a challenge .. IMO it was good idea to make him tougher as a balance to the easier Venatori Commander (whom isn't much more powerful than a mook)

 

Although i would assume they are modifying the DC based on their in game data, and not the gnashing of teeth in online forums ..

"Tuned" and "tweaked" without any details. I wouldn't call those patch notes. More like a preview.

I'm really curious what's being done with "Strength of Spirits". I mean... did Barriers really need a buff? I was hoping for a boost to Guard.

No, but for all we know, it's only something like a reduction in his fear duration - which should be done.

Dispell and attacks like payback strike, walking fortress etc are a hard counter to this.

Don't worry.  If they overnerfed the DC we will soon see him get the Geth treatment and then we will all overly loathe his existence.  I remember when they were able to finally fix the Prime combat drone to actually fire incinerate and the wailing that ensued.

If you are a reaver or Katari attempting to tank the demon commander then you are doing it wrong.
