You need HoK to spam Dragon Rage non-stop, but you don't need to mindlessly spam Dragon Rage non-stop to play Reaver... Are you actually saying you think one button is a more fun class?

You dont need HoK to spam dragon rage non stop (well you didn't, you do now). It was very easy to spam it and then use rampage when you got low on health. You are right, you don't need to spam dragon rage to play reaver. Did I say that? Don't think so. Pretty sure I said if you do auto attacks you will be doing less damage, are you trying to deny that? Are you actually saying you think doing auto attacks is more fun than doing dragon rage? Because if you aren't spamming dragon rage you have to be auto attacking.

Patch the patch.

I wouldn't get your hopes up.  Today is International Hug Day so they probably can't work on it.  Tomorrow is Reunion Day in the Ukraine, so there goes that plan.  Friday is National Pie Day in the US, so that's out too.  To start the weekend, we've got Romanian Unification Day.  And Sunday's out because it's Opposite Day so your fixing team has to not fix things.

Quite frankly, it's going to be a daunting challenge for the Dev team to find any time whatsoever for their game and I truly pity their scheduler, who must be in quite the bind.

You can survive with HoK, Devour, and the odd autoattack with animation canceling to top up your health, and still use Dragon Rage as most of your DPS. It's just no longer the case where you pop rampage, charge in and then hit one button repeatedly (in my case it was 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, etc) and everything is dead and you're on full health with an 8 kill streak.

Well at least they didnt fix the Necromancer. She'd probably end up killing herself with half health now. Or spirit mark minions would attack the party instead.

Sheesh some people need to chill out a bit and re-evaluate things if they are really that mad.

I asked the design team and this in fact an intentional change, meant to bring the Reaver back in line with other kits. It was mentioned that you don’t lose health from Dragon Rage while Rampaging now, as compensation.

I personally don't have a huge problem with this, it's just changing how you abuse rampage. You can spam dragon rage but have to switch to your weapon for health-steal during rampage or spam devour at every chance, the latter I was used to from my warrior SP playthrough anyway. might also make ring of pain viable in mp for more health effective devour & dragon rage.

when I've played reaver myself, I only ever bothered with rampage when we were the boss or there was some big target I wanted to shut down instantly. my play was mighty blow to shut the mob down, a few dragon rage swipes on anyone who got back up and the occasional devour to one-shot an archer was enough for me. that was threatening though so it may be that perilous you'd have to crutch on rampage much more. similar to katari but less squishy due to higher reaver defence and lack of charging bull leading me to get too far ahead of the party to keep the aggro spread out.

only thing that needs fixing with this reaver change are any possible armour issues, so that you can tank the odd arrow while you are in rampage.

Not a lot of change between Threatening and Perilous from my point of view as a Reaver, just you have to hit standard mobs 2-3 times with Dragon Rage of instead of 1-2. I'm very lucky in that I scored two 10% life steal rings very early on, and from that perspective: Perilous now is exactly how it was before the "Reaver nerf". If I pull all the agro/don't line of sight archers and/or don't have a barrier, I die, if I don't pull agro/watch line of sight or I have a barrier, I kill everything really, really (really) fast. Curiously, Threatening is definitely harder than before, my Reaver used to be invincible in threatening, now she can actually sometimes need to use Devour. My two-hander is Sundering, BTW - Sulevin will not drop for me, but when Dragon Raging the difference isn't much anyway.

I'm thinking I might upgrade (and use as an active) Mighty Blow instead of Circle of Pain from now on though, it's the easiest source (build wise) of burst healing via Rampage now.

So the mods are trying to ban me for telling the truth. Also I think it's funny the excuses they're making and the fact the fans are right there alongside with them. The demon commander had a certain way to be fought previous to this. Because you couldnt blindly go infront of it and whack it with a stick, now there is no challenge to MP it's simply a mindless pursuit for people that wanted it to be mindless for some reason, that's not a boss being too difficult. That's simply logic.

And bioware please go right ahead if you are attempting to ban me from your forums I will be taking a copy of this entire thread and faxing it to your employer and filing an official complaint alongside many other people who were lied to both before sale and in patch notes about this game.

I have not insulted a single person and I don't think you understand that many of us that play your multiplayer competitively either work for the gaming press or have a backing of hundreds of followers. I personally help provide information for several dragon age groups on FB and many of the groups have hundreds and a few have a thousands of members, I'm pretty sure they wouldnt understand what you're doing as much as I currently do not understand it either.

What you are doing is disrespectful and if you want us to respect you, you need to give us the same respect back. You also shouldnt be making bad press for yourself either a few of the people here make videos based on the multiplayer and the game it's self ( I know penguin fetish is one of which.)

I really expected more out of a AAA developer, but it seems you more actively want to ignore your fans and to make they feel terrible for telling you what you're doing is not fixing the game but rather breaking it more and then telling us we are the problem.

There wouldnt of even been an issue had you taken care of things you obviously knew of pre-launch.

It's doubtful. Ban, or do not ban. For moderators, there is no try. yoda2-35325.gif

That's not what logic means. How could changing one unit in one zone against one faction make all of MP have no challenge? Did the Demon Commander call up the Red Templars and tell them to start phoning it in out of protest?

I think you have an interesting interpretation of what effect that would have.

This warps your opinion.  HoK rings break this game.  If you are lucky enough to get two of them then you can pretty much do whatever you want on any class in this game.  I have spent 800k at the store in this game.  I only have 1-5% HoK ring.  I know people who have spent over 2 mil at the store and do not have 1 HoK ring (Captain Lotus).

I didn't get my 5% Hok ring until 725k spent at the store.  Just 1-5% ring makes this game soooo much easier.  It is actually quite ridiculous the difference just 5% makes.

Actually, one of our engineers spent his Holiday break making some of the fixes in this patch possible - including the partial fix to the Keydrop. BioWare is one of the most player focused developers in the industry, suggesting we don't care about our fans is quite silly.

Please Amelia dispense with the "marketing BS" Bioware don't give a damn about its core userbase (PC Gamers btw) do I need to remind you of the misleading lies told in the "by PC Gamers for PC Gamers" marketing video you made pre-release claiming that there was a "custom PC UI" when what we got was a cheap and nasty console UI swapadoodle that anyone with half a brain cell can see is still a console UI.

Or how about the 400+ page PC Community concerns thread Mr Darrah started but then ignored from November onwards but yet he and others continued to furiously tweet about how many GOTY awards you have won/been nominated for.Instead of fixing major issues what do we have after 3 months and 3 failed patches all the major issues brought up in that thread have been ignored but we have a fix for Varric's twitching knee? way to go real important fix that one.

Reality is all Bioware cares about is deceiving customers out of their money though marketing lies and shouting about how many GOTY you have. You may as well give up on making PC Games since your devs clearly dont have a dam clue what a mouse and keyboard is.Maybe you should stop drinking the cool aid wake the hell up and realise how many PC Gamers are disgusted with you right now.

Wait Santa Does not exist?? ( ; _ ; )

Good news: the Easter Bunny is real.  Unfortunately I cannot tell you how I know this.  If I did, BW said they would make every DAMP mage have to use Caltrops and Rogues use Spirit mark, and all character weapons would have that Berserk stat....

A little late to the party here but being who I am, I didn't want to post my opinion before actually playing the game with the patch. So now that I've played a good few hours last night, for whatever it's worth, here are my two cents:

1) Pots now break at range but still bug out for melee fighters.

2) Inquisition armors look goofy now and I went back to the vanilla 2nd tier armor with most of my kits

3) The Reaver nerf is stupid and the reasoning for it doesn't make any sense. "Bringing her in line with other kits" lol wut? The Reaver had a very unique niche and she filled that niche superbly. Sure, she was dealing a lot of damage but also got rekt by ranged units so there was a risk/reward and a rather large learning curve to play her well. Now she's kind of meh.

4) DC nerf went way overboard, and that's coming from someone who wanted the DC tweaked. Granted not a Krysae nerf to the ground but I did ask for a small radius reduction to compensate for garbage P2P netcode and poor connection. I mean DC's ground pop now does roughly 20% damage to my archer on threatening.. I have to agree with people who say that the post-patch DC is almost as easy as the VC. Also I didn't notice any change to his AoE fear duration. It's damage has been nerfed, yes, but the duration seems to be the same.

5) Key drop bug is now less frequent but a helluva lot more random from what I can tell. From the 15 or so games I played last night, 10-12 of them were with the Elementalist and I went out of my way to drop firestorms on animals, first with pugs and later duo speed running threatening with a friend of my who was also playing a firestorm elementalist. In two occasions we actually kept a single wolf alive for the sole purpose of killing him with firestorm, and you know what? Key dropped perfectly every single time. It was intense waiting for the key to drop at first but towards the end we were casually dropping firestorms like it's cool fully knowing that the key would drop flawlessly, and it did. Thinking the people on the forum were either exaggerating or completely full of **** we opened the lobby for a last game before calling it a day. We had 2 archers, a katari and a templar and were playing against demons. Then wave 3 comes up (no animals present), we clear out the zone but get no key.

509852c2afa96f2d52000009.jpg?w=400

Alright, guess folks on the forums were right after all. No big deal, my friend quits and I get host. We clear the zone for the second time and again, no key. I quit and my friend (who has rejoined in the meantime) gets host again. We clear the wave and the key finally decides to drop but both of us got the Door to Narnia bug. Made me wonder if my firestorm working as intended testing was a lucky streak rather than fact. Can someone else confirm?

Another of your jokes... Not so funny this time...

IF YOU DIDN'T FIX THE BUG, DON'T ANNOUNCE IT IS FIXED. I don't care if somebody worked during holidays, but I do care about false expectations and the money I spent on an almost unplayable game.

Also, PLS FIX THE BLACK SCREEN LOADING BUG - it is the biggest problem at the moment.
