Why not? Giving us a MP beta a few months before launch is a great idea
It's not. We didn't get one for DAIMP, and look how great that turned out.

My Miranda is alive.
It's going to be called ME2 D2 (mee too dee too) and you'll get to play a small dustbin-like robot going around gathering your band of merry space adventurers including the infamous smuggler who always shoots first (and can complete the Kessel Run in under 18 parsecs - with the right upgrades to his ship* of course), the walking carpet, the bun-hair princess and a slightly camp gold robot thrown in for the comedy value ... awsum!
*available as zero-day DLC for a mere snip at $60!
I just wish ME4MP doesn't have the same bad netcode as DA: Inquisition.

Sounds like a novel idea! This could make a fortune! Plus, think of all the squeals from basement dwelling virgins who will most definitely be making costumes for the E conventions!!! Hell!!! They could even end up building a museum for it in Chicago!!!

I see that as more of a cause for concern than a reason to jump on the hype wagon. Dragon Age: Inquisition was a good game, but it did have some significant flaws. One of those in my opinion, was that the partially open-world format with large explorable spaces, didn't always mesh well with a focus on story and characters. DA:I's storytelling felt a bit lacking compared to DA:O and even DA2, because the main quests were spread out between vast amounts of side quests where the story was light or nearly non-existant. The criticism that DA:I feels a bit MMOish and grindy at times, has some merit. I'd have much rather have seen smaller or less spaces to explore, but with more substance to some of the content filling those spaces.
So far I have not found the Skyrim infuence on the RPG market to be positive. I'll have to wait and see how the The Witcher 3 turns out, but if it has similar problems as DA:I I'm going to be a lot less excited for ME:Next as I was for ME2 or ME3.
Good article, but it's kind of hard to get excited about new games anymore. Not until I see the end product will I make a judgement. Destiny left me so disappointed...

Big open world like Skyrim is good for....... Skyrim. It doesn't work as well with Dragon Age, and I wouldn't see it working as well in Mass Effect. It makes me think of the days in that little rover in the first ME, getting stuck in cracks on mountains and generally wanting to lose it while having to explore those planets. Don't make me do that again.
That means I have a whole year of ME3MP left.
How many pancakes a day do you think....
It's going to be bigger because it will only be released on laserdisc.

As long as a gold bikini is involved ... i'm in!

First charge would send us flying up into the sky and delete our characters.
I wonder if they're actually going to support it. If you were to compare something like DICE vs BioWare BioWare practically did nothing to support ME3 vs BF4. Granted BF4 was way more buggy, but it's still supported well over a year later now.
To be fair, BF4's launch and the devs response of 'Working as intended, shut up' was a ****** disaster. Not to mention the first couple of patches that broke the game further and had to have new patches made to patch the crap that the first patches brought. With a large chunk of the community giving up on BF4 they pretty much had to announce long term support for the game or risk loosing whoever was left.
If you remember, DICE stopped supporting BF3 very shortly after End Game came out, kind of like BioWare stopped supporting me3mp shortly after reckoning. Point is, BF4 and me3mp are very different animals in terms of how much dev support they need. ME3MP was a working product at launch. A little rough around the edges and unbalanced, sure, but it worked well enough for most people. BF4 on the other hand was barely an alpha at launch.

A bigger what than DAI?
^^^^ I havent played any RPG except ME and Kotor. If i prefer (good) story focused games, what shld i try next ? DAO ?
I'm not really a fantasy fan with all elves, gobbos and such but DAO has a handsome dog companion and the best character introductions I've ever seen. Alone that is worth it.

DAO's a pretty decent RPG. Some people on this forum seem to think it is literally perfect, which is perhaps slightly hyperbolic, but it is pretty good. Also recommend Morrowind as a good example of how to do an open world with a good storyline (though combat mechanics are pretty bad) and Fallout: New Vegas (modded). People speak highly of the Witcher games, I've not gotten into them very far though.
