[Quarian Master Race]

I will only care when the game is confirmed to have at least 100% moar quarians. Preferably, everyone else died because the crucible was actually a secret quarian plot. Maybe turians survive as adorably awkward servants/2nd class dextros, as well as genetically engineered tiny krogan as cute pets

 

Gameplay is irrelevant. It can be a shitty sims mod punctuated by horrible RNG turn based combat sections, the Mako as the only mode of transportation, and pre -preorder DLC consisting of rehashed content from previous entries for $59.99(basically the worst game ever), and I'd still preorder multiple copies as long as lots of quarians are involved.

I've clocked in almost 200 hours on DAI and I can say that it's the biggest rpg game I've ever played. For the next MA to be bigger is just awesome I can't wait...

Frankly this makes me terrified of what ME4 and MP in particular is going to be.

 

Bigger = More bugs and as DA:I has shown Bioware will concentrate on the SP aspect more than the MP when it comes to fixes.

 

DAMP was buggy on release but playable after Patch 1 (Day one release back in November)  PC controls were terrible, the DEVs admitted that none of them really used KB&M just used controller.  Patch 2 did a little more and fixed one of the more game breaking bugs.  The first DLC reintroduced it and made it worse.  Patch 3 after being touted as being the fix only partially fixed it.  We await Patch 4 which is somewhere in the future.

 

Biowares response to the communities concerns have been to stay quiet for the most part.  Only a few Devs have responded and most just "Yeah we know, we're working on it"  Though in some cases it's been stop complaining, chillout and go do something else instead.   I'll be honest the community has become very hostile over this.

 

The close interaction we had in the beginning with the Devs and ME3MP  is gone and I doubt it will come back for ME4.  

 

My Point to all this.  Be prepared for disappointment

It received praise from being a surprisingly good "slap-on" multiplayer. It was never meant to be complete MP experience, but rather an experiment.

Yet ME3 MP is a more fun and addictive experience than them. That is what matters. ME4 will be the best game of all time if it builds on ME3 MP, I hope BioWare realizes this and properly promotes the MP portion of ME4 as well as the legendary Single-Player we all expect from BioWare. The World has changed, games need to have both a great SP & MP to sell 10+ Million copies and I want Mass Effect 4 to be very successful both commercially and critically.

I'm sure I will enjoy the single player a lot, but I'm primarily going to buy (listening Bioware?) it for the ME4MP (assuming they build on and improve upon ME3MP).  Which I'm still playing 800+ hours later--just a great game!  Hopefully, they get a bunch of those 200 folks working on ME4 to really develop a quality MP side which will ensure the longevity and interest level (and hint: your profitability Bioware) of ME4.  And hopefully it won't be ME multi-crash when it comes out--like DAI was until its first patch.  Take your time Bioware;  I don't want bigger as much as I want better.

There's a nagging little voice in the back of my head that has been whispering this for a long time. QA on some of the previous games has been lackluster to say the least. One of my particular favorites was ME2's 'let's climb a wall and not be able to get back down without quitting the game' cover bug. Not sure that was ever fixed.

 

For MP I sincerely hope the netcode gets a thorough overhaul. Servers are more robust. Options to escape from load screen hell without alt-tabbing out become real. And last, but not least, One Button To Rule Them All gets blown out some airlock and real options for the PC crowd emerge.

 

Then there's that voice again...
