The note Fixed issue that allowed players to exploit their gold value in single-player mode in the upcoming patch is a bad idea. There are not enough dragons to craft the best gear for your entire team. If you remove this exploit then how are we meant to craft gear for everyone in the way we want? By removing this exploit you will be encouraging mod use.
I can't be the only one upset about this fix.
I understand it's game breaking as it can allow you to OP early but if there isn't enough gear to farm then I don't see the point of playing SP. If someone OP's and regrets it then they can simply decide NOT to do it on the next play through.
Prohibition has been proven not to work

I know there were exploits, but which one are you talking about? where you heard they were going to remove that?

I don't like to use exploits myself, but when i'm on my 5th play, yea, i'll probably end up using some.

Yeah, this little glitch saved us a lot of trouble console players and pc players who been playing through the games many times in the past. It shouldn't be fixed at all.

Or you could just play the game like it was meant to be played. Exploiting and modding just shows you can't make do with what you're given. I never had a problem getting good gear for my team because majority of players aren't going to use every single person you acquire.

If they fix this glitch, I wish they would at least augment the spawning rate of dragons and monsters because the game already feels empty near the middle to the end of the game and it becomes a chore to fight those high level monsters without good crafts.

I hate & outright despise exploits & I thank Bioware for noticing it.I wouldn't even clip animations on an MMO or even glitch my way in GTAO.Never have& never will.

You waste tier 4 mats on your party?  Pfft, they can make do, that sweet T4 stuff is for me only, they can get the T3 hand-me-downs.

B.S.! Game is too easy for hardcore gamers such as myself. I simply want the ability to craft my equipment without limitations. I understand dragons are "rare" but it's nonsense that I have only a certain amount of dragon materials for appearances.

Those patch notes though... if they fix all that, the forums should be almost free of hate.

But it won't be, oh no. It has already begun by complaining about fixing an exploit.

But seriously, read those patch notes. PC players especially should be very pleased.

fixing gold duplication and material duplication?

That was an issue that needed to be fixed, beh..

Not the limited tactical view camera, or the funky combat AI that encourages ranged to stack near the tank to eat a big fire breath from a dragon.. Cool. Good priorities.

They could later add a "cheating option" that doesn't give you achievements and stuff like that. would be good for multiple plays. I don't know how it works on this game, but lots of other games have options on console.

did they fix the tier 3 schematic grind? you know, with the chests and everything.

Wait, you call yourself hardcore and yet you are protesting the removal of an easy-mode exploit?

If the game is "too easy" then why are you wanting to exploit it? You obviously aren't a hardcore gamer if this is your reasoning

Not that I can see. Only fixed quest glitches and tacticool not centering and removing exploits that allow you to play the game for fun rather than spending 150+ hours grinding for stuff so you never finish SP.
Now I'm going to have to start a new game with a Mage since I haven't yet and play until I can kill a dragon so I can use the exploit before I download the patch...oh wait, Origin probably won't let me

Because it's easy nonetheless and I like many other just want to look good at some point rather than having to wear pink shoulderpads on a Katari reaver.

Wanting to exploit a glitch merely for appearance isn't exactly a compelling argument

Honestly, with how (in)competent the party AI is in this game, there really isn't much of a difference between Tier 3 and Tier 4 mats on your party.  Also, a lot of the Dragon crafting mat bonuses are pointless, put dragon-bone on a mage staff so that it... has Armor pen?

Do some hardcore math and figure out how to make the most out of limited resources.  Me, I just keep the T4 for the player character, there is more than enough to outfit your character once, maaybe twice with full T4.

Actually... it is. Some of the armours aren't that pretty for some people and there's nothing wrong with that.

No actually it's not. Armors can easily be added through DLC, instead of exploiting the game. This is Dragon Age, not dress up Barbie

What harm does infinite materials / gold really do? You are NOT competing with anyone online. Single Player and MP are completely separate. I don't see the compelling argument as to how this should be a priority to fix. I agree more with having control over your game when the current RNGesus schematics play a factor on what you can and cannot craft in t3.
