If it was never meant to be, it should be removed, imo
you will have to put in a little extra work in farming gold and perhaps begin picking up some of those common items but it's an exploit, and tbh I never encountered it, and did just fine, my biggest issue was the lack of good schematics to actually craft anything that was a decent upgrade AND looked good on my characters and party members
That's the thing: you don't encounter it. It's an exploit that you have to actively manipulate. So it isn't going to "bug" anyone's game if they don't actively pursue it.
I also get that this is the way Bioware intended it-- for you to go out and gather, and gather and gather and gather some more. I did it for two play throughs, now it's just a freakin chore that would have been nice to just skip. To say "Well, this is how Bioware intended it, deal with it." isn't the point and to make that point you also have to believe that cheat engines should be banned along with mods. Those things enhance your experience, as does this exploit. Bioware can do as they wish, obviously-- I just think it's a silly and useless fix.
