I know nothing of xbone but it seems to me it's reinstalling with either origins in place or the patch is downloading upon install.
Can you kill your web when installing and see if that helps?

 

1st time - I killed the network on my xbox and for some reason it couldn't install correctly (ethernet plugged in) - so i had to enable it

 

2nd time - I unplugged the ethernet completely and it worked this time. Game installed w/o patch.

 

Sadly I have to use the default world save but at least now I can enjoy it; thanks for helping!

and here's to deleting my other 100+hour saves and starting up for a 4th time.

good thing i'm actually enjoying this game, but w/o the dupe it's too tedious.

It is a little sad that we have yet to hear any response from bw. We have a majority requesting this exploit back and even half of that majority are trying to come up with alternative ideas such as merchants that sell mats and scems. Both would cost time and money but the majority are literally asking bw to take the cheapest way.

Bioware i cant dupe but its ok that i have to reload my game constantly because everytime i try to talk to an npc the conversation will not open up?

I found there was enough dragon stuff to make it so everyone had some good equipment. I mean, I don't want to make weapons/armor that have T4 stuff in every slot, I color-coordinate all my stuff. XD

On PS4 when that happens I press R3 and it shows.
Usually it's half faded and tells me to press R3 but sometimes it doesn't show up at all.
Also when Dorian froze while talking to him in Library I just left the game and had a smoke. Took 6 minutes but he finally got tired of me staring at him like an idiot and continued on

I have tried everything possible when it happens. All my character does is jump or if i press rs(xb one) nothing! Ive also noticed since this patch everytime i do talk to blackwall my screen goes completely black when my character talks. I played this game for 8 hours today only finding myself farming highever and tier 2 cotton just 2 make literally 2 pieces of armor. I guess im done with even worrying about how dao or da2 effect this game. Im just gonna start over and play offline without patches

Greaaaaat...friggin ps4 got turned on my remote being sat on and automatically updated the patch...I guess no more SP for me until I re-install

Dude i updated cause i couldnt stand not having my custom world states 

It sucks, i geuss i have to go kill high dragons and hope that i get enough dragon bone and for some reason i get alot of dragon tooth but they never work

Couldn't you have just strted up the game offline, then go online when you're at the menu screen so that you can use your world states?

Yeah but i shouldnt have too, the exploit was harmless and i dont understand why people wanted a walking button or whatever(i cant go fast at all without a steed) i cant understand why this patch was released with no real fixes(im talking game breaking bugs)

I dislike Twitter.

These days we have the technology to have a video chat with anyone, anywhere on the planet... or in orbit. We can send huge amounts of data. Text, pictures, videos. We can send data files that allow the receiver to create something with a 3D printer. Everyone and their dog has a cellphone.

We have means of communication past generations dreamed of. What do we do with it? We place an artificial limit of 140 characters on it, send meaningless spam and use up half the characters with stupid hashtags.

This is the BioWare forum. This right here should be the very first place where they read and respond. This should be where we get the news. Not on gaming sites, not on Facebook and certaintly not on Twitter.

Seems these days BioWare only responds when they can't hide the issue.

I dislike Twitter as well and feel the forums is where they should look but that just isn't the case anymore. The 140 limit is there to make it easier to skim and nessessitates you be concise. Simply retweeting the hashtag is enough. Do it enough and it will trend. EA and BW are much better at responding there than here.

It fixed the bug with Dorian's companion quest not showing up. That is basically the only notable thing on the sp side of the patch.

EA making games harder? Gamers complaining about developers fixing bugs?

sure is harder to spend 50 hours plus grinding my fade touched materials and schematics (and thats me being an optimist about time invested) for my 'ideal' set..

I never had the dorian bug but the solas one wasnt working and still hasnt and i have problems with coversations not working now and my game freezes for a couple sec when in haven......WOW i thought patches were ment to fix bugs not cause more

I'm still pretty "upset" to put it nicely that the patch downloaded...been up all night because of it.
Screw it. Once I'm done with my 3 meta games I'm done with it. I'll just play routine MP and "kill help" all the pugs so they get turned off from MP and quit.
...I'm just mad, I probably won't do that. I will still raise hell over it though.

Oh yeah, what's with my nice pink armor turning a disgusting tan now? I never had that bug before this patch. Now it's only pink when I'm in the shade...and the enemy blood is brown! Looks like someone had explosive diarrhea all over my chest

Lets go ahead and not fix the mosaics the romances the skill reset jam or npc banter glitches and go ahead and ruin the game completely so no one can barely get gold and have to now drag themselves for hours on hours on hours to get items to make thier weapon armor etc.I mean seriously atleast add a mission on the table to gain rare items like dragonbone or the perfection essences and make it so you can gain substantial amount of gold on a mission on the table. instead you took and sucked the life out of the game completely and this is no threat but i know like me alot of us are considering returning the game because you made it tedious and beyond time consuming even more.

Its about playing the game the way you want to play it, it is SP after all with a crafting system thats new to DA i dont know about you but i spent hours crafting

I didnt use the exploit for gold or to make it easier i did so all my warriors could have gold armor and gold weapons for everyone

Then I'll try to explain it to you. Game being easy =/= game being tedious. Game can be easy and tedious at the same time.

That exploit fixed the latter.

Its more of an issue you beat the game like i have and now you want to have a little fun but wait you can't you can't get all the mosaics you can't use a save editor because of the encryption. not to mention even if you make head or tails of the game to make an editor they will mess you up again by patching it so its next to near impossible to do so. Don't get me wrong i enjoy the game I really do but once a game gets boring because of you beating it repeatedly its needs some tweaking to make it a bit fun again and good example of a still played modded and played game is skyrim you get bored of it load a user made dungeon or spell and its luster is back again. Take all of those things away and all you have is the unshined turd........
