I know, so again, only 1.3 M? :D If this is without digital distribution, then ok, since even EA said how digital distribution was a major part of the sales, but if this is with digital distribution, then the game failed horribly.

That's the problem. The game from everything I've heard has sold miserably. Why would they care about it with full knowledge ME4 will sell like hotcakes?
I just generally hate 1P perspectives for RPG's. 3P, hand drawn side scrollers, and RTS are my genre.

Especially when games like gta v sold 45m and minecraft sold 80m

You can't compare GTA or Minecraft and RPG. RPGs have much smaller market, because these games are simply not that popular as for example action games. But then Skyrim came along...

Miserably? Really?

Well according to EA the game exceeded their expectations and the last fiscal period brought more profit than projected. Although I would still like to see some actual numbers of sales in the future. Just out of curiosity how much this experiment has worked out for BW.

But we shouldn't go so much into off-topic, having this thread locked would be a shame.

BW, please, have a look on your loot system and tweak the drop rates of at least fade-touched materials and schematics.

Forgive me, I read the wrong chart. That was retail sales for the PS4 only. Total retail sales for all platforms is 3.1 million units. Again, that's number of units not total revenue. However, my point still stands.

In the first 3 months?

Their stock prices went through the roof due to expectations. Their biggest fear is to lose those profits as they are artificial. They can't sell legally on the inside and must ride the storm.
I worry for them truly as BW was my go to guys in gaming but EA if it fails, what next?

What are you talking about? The gaming market is huge. If a game only sells 5m copies of an AAA game then that game is a failure.
Every single CoD game has outsold DAI by miles.

So far DAI hasnt even sold half of what DAO sold and doesnt even come close to ME sales

Speaking of rpgs
Diablo 3 had sold at least 15m copies
Skyrim 20m

Bioware is not doing to great

Petitions never work for me, unless there are like 50 000 signatures or something. This game sold like millions worldwide so we'd need about 500 000 signatures or more to get their attention.

I agree with both David and Octarin's points here. There are mountains of garbage to sift through because too many people can't provide meaningful, well-structured feedback and simply want to whine and/or rant. Who WANTS this job? Nobody. But that doesn't change the fact someone needs to do it. If the forum, specifically the feedback forum, does not provide an avenue to engage the developers, what purpose does it serve? And our friend David Gaider here just blatantly told us he has stopped listening and the forums are a waste of time for the developers.

It seems the only way we will ever get through to EAWare is with our wallets.

Maybe, but you'd think having 1000 replies to a thread topic would draw their attention

@Apollyon

Again, DAO was a huge success even when its sales were like the third of Skyrims. There is more demand for pure action games than there is for tactical games or strategies. That is a simple fact. You can't compare the markets for let's say games like GTA V and Europa Universalis IV. Both are great games in their respective genre, in fact one of the very best, but people just like to play action games more than hardcore grand strategies. The same goes for DA vs Skyrim. While 5M would be a disappointment for CoD, it would be a success for many other AAA games. You just can't say BW has failed when their game doesn't sell just as good as Skyrim. You can say it now to some degree, since DAI was trying to immitate Skyrim.

@wingzeroshell

Hmm, that reponse is a bit sad and disappointing. While I get the devs don't want to hang here in their free time, they should still hire someone who would do it for money. Why even have a feedback section when nobody is listening to the feedback. You can't write a constructive feedback post on Twitter, you can only pat them on their back there or ask simple questions. I get why they would prefer that, but that doesn't help the game or them in any way.

Well based on if you want to believe and a small part still does they say they are aware of the complaints and are looking to address them but don't have a date on when they will yet. All i can do is try to be hopeful well really all of us can.

It is kinda hard to stay hopeful after 3 and a half months in which nothing of note has happened. Just vague promises once in a blue moon are not going to cut it for me anymore. I was promised stuff prior to release that simply weren't true or were downright lies. I find it hard to trust someone who tricked me and hasn't done anything to amend it. I used to be hopeful even during all those past shitstorms, because I trusted BioWare. Well, thanks to DAI, this trust is now gone.

Basically they HAVE to know we don't want it at this point. Just search dupe.

Either that or the real reason was to dupe us all
