I have high hopes for this patch. It seems to address some of my concerns and since it will be included in a patch, I assume it will be free. Pretty excited to see where this goes.
I am hoping FT items and schematics will be addressed. Since that needs a redo, tbh.

I'm curious if they are for sale what is needed to unlock them

What's that I hear? A choir of celestial beings gracing my ears with rapturous song?

Please, please let this be a solution, please.

Also, did anyone see the part where you might be able to colour things regardless of the mat used? (It was just a pic, but that seems to be what is was) I know it's not linked to gameplay, that it's aesthetic rather than practical but I WANT IT!

Report him for his bait.

Me? I wasn't deliberately baiting. Just ignorance about the ops concern and why people need lots of gold.

I thought you were nice until I read that

Oh, fabulous. Someone who doesn't like me. Now excuse me while I'm going to cry my life over it.

Sorry to say, but every time I read your comments on these threads, you never to seem to care about anything but yourself. It really boiled my blood for a while until I was forced to put you on my ignore list. Sometimes I tolerated you but now I figure I'll just ignore you for both my sanity and your sake.

Also, I can be gentle as a kitten as I can be as harsh as a viper... Depends on the day.

Bad habit perhaps. But I don't always post about myself so I wonder who you think I am, I definitely dont post ignoring peoples problems with the game.

It was daft of me to jump in here with the "use cheat engine!" Comment, but what's life without annoying a few people :)

Ah well

Well, I'm sorry I've been snarky to you.
Let's be adults about this and forgive one another... and I'll try to be nicer to you.
Sorry again.

Why is Bioware policing a single player mode? Not a good idea especially considering this games length.

I sincerely hope so. As a guy, I would like to use my 200 dawnstone without having to wear pink armor. It makes sense that different metals have different colors. But even metal IRL is tintable and/or paintable.

Yeah, definitely this. The dragon materials for mages is this wretched orangy color. This will make it easier to unify your team and I am very happy about this addition.

As I stated before, if this patch includes a fix to the looting system, it sounds like a perfect solution to me and most of my issues will be addressed.

I just hope-- for the sake of others-- that they address some quest bugs and crashing errors. I would imagine those who are stuck in quests or those who can't even play the game care little for these issues. I am sure they would like to play, period. So, I hope that is on the top of the agenda. Thankfully, I don't experience these bugs, but I can imagine the frustration.

Man, whoever decided on vivid tangerine for a legendary dragon is an idiot and needs to be locked in a dark room for a few years until they forget what colors they think is proper and reset them to default.

I for one actually liked the orange, that was the main reason I complained about there not being enough dragons, because the color was really nice :D The orange suits Vivienne and Dorian wears it like a boss. And its golden shiny metal color is absolutely awesome, made my Cassandra into a golden templar (golden armor, golden helmet, golden templar shield) with black skirt.

Lol oh I hated the colors for the mages! Dorian looked decent, but I think he would look good in any color. I went to Florida to visit a family friend and we went to visit her mother in a retirement village and that orangy color looked just like the caftans I saw all those old ladies wearing.

You can't beat the fire resistance, so Vivienne wore it. It's better than the plaid at any rate.

I won't lie, that gold is beautiful. That orange? I think you're right, it only looks good on those two. The others not so much IMO. I guess this color mapping patch might fix that for me

The color tint is welcome but would have been nice if it was in the game already like it was suppose to be

It's okay. I hear they're using time magic to apply the patch before the game's release so it will always have been there.

Or you could just play the game like it was meant to be played. Exploiting and modding just shows you can't make do with what you're given. I never had a problem getting good gear for my team because majority of players aren't going to use every single person you acquire.

so the way the game is meant to be played is broken? lol

not enough gold to buy stuff

not enough materials to craft for whole party.

yeah right.

herei s a quote of what I put in patch4 thread, in my opinion if duping stays patched then all the following need doing to fix the broken resource system.

By removing dupe many new problems have been created, the imbalance of the resource system suddenly has become a massive problem.

At the very least bioware now need to.

1 add dismantling to recover materials.

2 allow runes to be removed and put on other equipment

3 significanlty increase amount of materials dropped from dragons, I would say at least a ten fold increase

4 significantly increase sale value of items

5 increase the frequency of fade touched materials

6 make influcence books much cheaper as well as making influence rewards more generous for quests

7 increase carrying capacity so can pick up all the junk whilst out and about to sell back to shops.

and DLC costs money, removing an option so we can have awesome gear, so they sell DLC is a dick move.

I'm not saying that the exploit shouldn't be fixed, it is by all standards a glitch, i understand it, but to do it so people buy DLC is ridiculous.

Like on dragon age origins, you couldn't possibly farm, your gold was capped, if you want to do some crazy stuff, you need the exploits (and as far as i know they never fixed it and no one ever complained)

At least give the option, put a console command "cheating mode = 1" and don't give achievements, there, everyone is happy.

ironically patching dupe means I wont buy the DLC, as the DLC will probably require the latest patch.

To play devil's advocate for a moment...

There is the very real possibility they intended for materials and gold to be limited so that you would have to make choices about who to deck out in crafted gear and/or the best purchasables. While this is an acceptable design element, it certainly does not appeal to the broadest audience.

Personally, I find the whole resource and merchant system absurd. Why do I, the Inquisitor, the leader of a massive force with substantial personnel at my disposal have to go out and collect my own resources. Sure, the more rare ones, like dragon mats or fade-touched, I should have to collect on my own. But as far as the more common ones that I just happen upon in my adventures, why can't my minions do that? And the thing I find most ridiculous, there are merchants all over Thedas, including Skyhold, yet none of them seem to have a readily available supply of crafting materials beyond tier 1. There are massive armies gallivanting around the continent in finely crafted weapons and armor yet nobody seems to be selling materials, anywhere. What... the F@#$?

Which would be kinda weird for them to do, since the whole game was made for much broader audience than ever before. But it would only add to the myriad of baffling design decisions.

Isn't it funny you unlock 3 quarries and it doesn't give you more than enough stone to build a single tower? Why is there not a supply of materials that come with unlocking one?
