Do you even KNOW what the exploit is? I ask this because as stated 100+ times already ITT, the exploit could only be used if the player went out of his/her way to use it. No player would experience this by mistake and if they did they probably wouldn't notice unless they are looking for it. It's like using a rubix cube, you can do it properly but if you so desire you can take the stickers off and replace them on the side you want. That would be an intentional choice and not something that shows the rubix cube is broken.

I think I read once that the difference is:

A bug is a malfunction in the design which changes the behavior of the game. An exploit is a flaw in the design that a player can use to their advantage, but does not change the behavior of a game. I am not sure how accurate this is, as I know next to nothing about programming. I just hope that someone who does know something about programming can throw together a Gibbed for this game. It would be the greatest thing ever.

Pretty much this. With how long it's been out and everywhere you look it's simply hard to fathom that people still haven't at least watched a few lets players

Actually, the whole LP thing passed me by too. Why would anyone spend time watching other people play games?

I have to agree with you in this. I know a lot of people enjoy them, but I just don't get it. My friends often come over to watch me play and though I welcome their company, I have often wondered why. /shrug

Perhaps if someone is "on the fence" about a purchase, watching a LP of at least part of the game will help the person decide if that particular game is for him / her.  However even after watching a LP of part of The Order: 1886, I am still "on the fence", about a purchase, when I eventually get a PS4.

I can understand that. Perhaps I have just never found a good channel. Most of what annoys me is the commentary. I do watch Angry Joe for reviews, but I don't even watch his LPs.

I suppose it would be handy to those who were undecided.

Yes. I've been reading the thread.

I repeat though: "I'm more annoyed at so much exploit fixing going on while people have much much much bigger problems than that."

Eh I don't agree with the rubix example at all, but I'll stop here.

An exploit exploits either flawed game design or outright bugs. As such, I am totally fine with Bioware patching their exploit bugs in themselves. I just get disheartened at this stuff being in these patch notes while I'm sure myself and many many others are waiting for much more relevant fixes and additions to the game, instead of a largely harmless exploit.

I can understand that. As I said before, some have posted that they get stuck in a quest and can't continue or that they're having a lot of crashes. I imagine it is very frustrating for them. I hope it gets resolved soon.

As of today, I am done with this DAI, unless they fix this atrocity they call a Patch. They "fixed" all the good exploits and have now made the game worthless in my eyes. The 'duplication item' exploit made it possible to gear up all your characters with badass armor and weapons; now it takes forever to get one character suited up properly. It also takes too damn long to farm crafting material or save enough gold to buy anything worth having. There aren't enough dragons to kill to get everyone the proper armor and weapons. By the time you are able to get the best of the best in the game, you've practically done everything there is to do, so whats the F'ing point. I work 30 hours a week, volunteer, and I'm a student; I don't have time to farm the necessary crafting material, and saving enough gold is now just impossible. F@!% You Playstation and F@!% You harder EA games and Bioware. Im done with both of you. I should have just gotten an XBOX One; at least they have better game releases. I am selling DAI and returning my PS4, because there aren't any good RPGs or Action Adventure games available. I believe my gaming life has come to an end and it's all your fault. Thanks A Lot! Frustrated and Thoroughly Disappointed! You took one of the best releases/distractions from my hectic life and RUINED IT! I sincerely hope you are proud of yourselves!!!

I started 'Witcher 2' again yesterday, as a warmup for 'The Wild Hunt' arriving in a couple of month.

There is some collecting, but not out of hand. It's not doubling the playtime. It's fairly balanced I think?

Just arrived in Flotsdam.

They sell the Enhanced Edition for 3.99 on Steam until March 9.

I'm done with DAI.

Maybe if they fix the PC crashes and let us have the exploits, then maybe.

While I am not at this point of frustration I can very much understand. I work 40 hours a week and I am happily married but to stay happily married I need to dedicate quality time to my wife. I simply don't have the time I use to for these games. I love the Dragon Age series so naturally I've been looking forward to playing Inquisition but this game is just so big. I guess I could just blow through the game and be done with it but I was looking forward to multiple playthroughs, with different world states, and playing again as a different race and class....I just don't have the time anymore. I keep forgetting there's even a mutiplayer mode, I doubt I'll ever dive deep into that.

These harmless exploits would have made things simpler. Perhaps I am simply not the target audience for these games anymore not with the busy life I have.

If anything, these exploits should be at least be 'unlockable bonuses' for completing your 1st playthrough. Not everyone has hundreds of hours to waste, farming and grinding for lottery, random loot drops.

Unless Bioware somehow compensates patching these time saving exploits with worthwhile FREE DLC that doesn't include adding microtransactions to the single player, I'll most likely trade sell or trade in DAI now that they've patched the item dupe and gold exploits. Cool game but I can't see myself revisiting this for hours of boring, crapfest farming again just to craft the gear I want.

Bioware really dropped the ball on this one. Bad decision indeed, patching exploits that ramped up the fun factor for a new playthrough. Especially when there are way more important bugs that still need patching.

I agree 100% about selling DAI but don't abandoned your PS4 just yet. The Wicther 3 is just around the corner and there's still Fallout 4 which has yet to be announced.

Probably because they either:

A. take reviews with a grain of salt want to see for themselves if the game is worth buying (I'll watch a few vids from my favorite LPers before feeding into the hype and blowing $60 plus tax and get burned on a game I may not like)

B. have the game themselves and just enjoy seeing other gamer's reaction to entertaining parts of the game (you cannot relate or share gaming experiences with non-gamers)

C. do not have money to purchase the game and would rather watch an LP vid of a game that appeals to them, rather than watching movies or crap TV shows.

D. stuck at a certain part of the game and would prefer watching gameplay vids rather than surf through gamefaqs and wiki pages

Overreaction much? Or was it because there was no lube and that's why you're so butt hurt.

You know you could just ignore this thread instead of using such insults right? I'm returning you your comment by the way, what you just did is overreacting to a reaction.

Sure but where are you going to get enough gold to buy them? They'll probably patch the chest exploit next

I heard that you can farm some areas for a "profit" of 20k each hour.. I obviously haven't attempted it myself.. because, well.. lol.. it sounds like work.

if you/I want to get there faster, why can't we?), and while I enjoy a bit of the combat, I would much prefer to be able to easily get on with the main story, or for that matter the side stories of the games as fast I might want to.

That is what the difficulty setting is for. Don't want to grind it out in combat? Just put the game on "easy" difficulty and you can sleep through most combat despite subpar gear.

I actually don't understand the whole farming for gold/gear thing. Both are basically to make you more badass in combat, otherwise it has trivial impact on the game. So if you just want to easily roll through the game for the story, why not just slide the difficult setting down? Is it for the achievement? Even on the harder difficulties, this game is not hard once you figure out how the game mechanics work and what are optimal builds. There really is no need to use exploits.

Yeah it is in Emprise du Lion when you can hunt some creatures for their fur (I think) all day. You get a lot of fur per creature and sell it at a decent price.

Why not just ask BW to add more Dragons so you can do repeated Dragon Hunts.

1. Guarantee dragon loot on the first kill.

2. All subsequent kills have a random chance for dropping dragon loot.

That way you can the components legitimately, reasonable and "fun" (who doesn't like slaying dragons?). It's not like super difficult to redupe it by removing TU/patch files.

Modders gon mod regardless if an exploit is added or removed because... they're modder.

Cant mod on Xbox or playstation for the 100,000,000th time

Don't people read more than just the last thread page?
Im tired of seeing the same comments over and over about how you can just mod the game when it's already established that you can't mod on console

Why is it acceptable to use CE but not a exploit?
CE is out right cheating buts that's alright?
