Not really if it kills replayability for a lot of players who've been purchasing these games since the first one and considered it a "gameplay feature" or an easter egg. It became an essential part of our games as multiple playthroughs were horrible for many of us unless we duped. Duping isn't so bad as it doesn't harm your gameplay, it only changes the way the dupers play. It's not affecting your MP sessions as well, so yeah, saying that it's not a bad thing is also false for many of us as it didn't glitch the game that much. We had to MANUALLY use the buttons combo or use the mouse in a very specific way for it to work. Only a weak percentage of people would actually find it on their own and it wouldn't ruin their game that much. It's a HARMLESS bug.
BAD IDEA BIOWARE; Fixed issue that allowed players to exploit their gold value in single-player mode.

Probably. Considering the "Maker be damned" is most likely banned due to insulting the mods. He did say he had another account.

Most of the times someone gets banned, they make a new account or use an old one and use the same speech patterns that they used before being banned. Not smart at all. Refusing to understand our point of view and accepting "blindly" any decisions made by the developpers is something we don't do in this thread, or else it wouldn't exist at all. There are some decisions we understand but the exploit never harmed our games negatively.

That might not be true. Without opening up the code, we don't know what leads to a particular exploit. It might be that fixing the exploit is necessary to fix another bug. To use an example, look at how now after a bunch of patches we have issues with amulets of power spawning right.

Maker is right though. The game already gives you casual mode which could be beaten without farming a single material. Asking BioWare to re add an exploit shows a huge lack of common sense. That's like asking the nfl to allow stick-um or asking MLB to allow steroids. Its pretty stupid and not going to happen.

"don't deny"
Sounds like a double negative. I don't deny being BatMan an alien or bigfoot either but I don't see what that matters.
"is what you're saying?"
If you "don't deny" something you're not making a statement or "saying" anything at all.

I am not so sure it's an issue with them just not spawning. I think they purposely removed them.

Fixing exploits is a good thing never a bad thing.
Even though I don't like exploits in a game, its not always a good thing to fix them. There are quite a few instances in gaming history where 'fixing' an exploit breaks more than it helps. There are several Xbox live achievements and PSN trophies that could only be achieved through the use of exploits because the internal coding for the particular achievement is broken.

I don't really believe this is true but even if it is. The exploits fixed in DA:I would not fit into that category.

Are you certain it didn't break anything? I have seen several achievements that were achievable before Patch 3/4 were applied that people are complaining that they either cannot achieve them or had them previously and they've been rescinded. They used to break things by 'fixing' stuff all the time before. The sheer amount of items they 'broke' trying to fix the rocket glitching in ME3 was hilarious.

I am certain yes. If you have proof show it. Otherwise your claims are baseless.

I could screen shot the fact that I have the completion achievement for the game and show that I have all of the weapons from each dragon, but my achievement has been stunted at 30%. I completed it shortly after the game's patching and it has been stuck at 30% since the patch.

And what exactly is your proof that Bioware fixing the dupe glitch in DAI didn't (albeit unintentionally) cause any new issues / exasperate existing ones? FYI, I am not claiming to have evidence or proof either way. But since you are "certain", that means you must have proof. So "show it. Otherwise your claims are baseless." If Bioware is going to make it a priority to remove a relatively harmless exploit in Single player mode, perhaps Bioware should also focus on fixing other actual bugs that still exist in DAI. For example, the inability to have the camera auto-switch to characters. This bug was introduced with Patch 5 and was not fixed by Patch 6. Maybe Patch 7 will resolve the issue. There are other bugs that still exist and should take / should have taken priority to fixing what is essentially a harmless exploit. Bioware needs to prioritize better (read: focus on actual bugs that negatively impact gameplay), and given the horrible RNG loot system it is no wonder some people are upset that the dupe glitch was removed.

I'm happy they fixed it. Anything that pisses off a cheater is great in my book.
And you still haven't provided your proof (read: you don't have any and cannot provide the absence of something as proof) that makes you "certain" fixing the dupe glitch in DAI did not cause any additional unintentional issues or exasperate existing ones. Also, you haven't countered the argument that Bioware really should prioritize fixing actual bugs that negatively impact gameplay over fixing harmless glitches that only effect Single player mode; especially when some bugs are the result of a new patch. Patch 5 may have fixed some issues, but it also introduced the inability of the camera to auto-focus on another character when you switch to that character. The bug is still present in Patch 6. Patch 7 likely won't be released until The Black Emporium is released for all supported platforms sometime in May, 2015.
You also haven't addressed the main reason (read: the horrible RNG loot system) some people are upset that the dupe glitch was fixed, in light of the fact that there are still several outstanding bugs that should / should have taken priority to fixing a harmless glitch. If Bioware had fixed a majority of bugs and then removed the dupe glitch, while at the same time compensating for the horrible RNG loot system by either doubling the number of crafting materials you find, cutting the number of required materials for crafting armor / weapons in half, or some happy medium of the two, most people would have no issue with the dupe glitch being removed. FYI, the glitch existed in both DAO and DA2 and was never removed. Apparently, either Bioware did not consider exploiting the dupe glitch "cheating" before DAI or Bioware did consider it "cheating" but fixing the dupe glitch (pre-DAI) was never a priority for Bioware.

I'm more concerned with the multitude of bugs...skills that don't work right, party members randomly dying or taking damage while walking on sand dunes, the screwed up mesh/texture on coles teir 2 armor legs...etc.

Ignore CassMandra. It's just "Maker be damned" with his secondary account.
@Darktangent:
I kind of agree on T4 mats because they are save drops from dragon kills. The main reason I loved the glitch were those damned fade-touched mats. They are horribly rng-dependent and just plain boring to farm. In my first playthrough I got +5 guard silverite on my third silverite core. On my second playthrough I nearly farmed two! hours for one. For a singleplayer game without any competitive element (no-one gives a damn about achievements and player score) that's just not tolerable for me. So, I glitched myself hundreds of T3 fade-touched items. It was just a time saver that never affected anything other than my time I had to invest.

The stupid Halla statue on the beam in the servants quarter. I am on an Xbox 360 and I cannot for the life of me get that stupid Halla that I need. Is there any way that Bioware can fix it?! I can't het the statue. It is incredibly difficult for me to get it and I don't quit until I can get it. I have had to restart so many times now. Bioware it is ridiculous. I hate the person who had the not so bright idea to put it there!!!!! Can't they have it fixed by patch six or seven?!
