So...did the Emporium offer the rare resources at a fair price?
I haven't seen it yet. Out doing chores. Ps4 user and I've avoided the spoilers

Spoilers for the stores obviously, but in case you don't have the DLC yet or at hand:

No, you cannot purchase the Fade-touched materials. However you can apparently purchase Dragon related materials. Not being able to purchase the Fade-touched materials is unfortunate but not entirely unexpected.

Not bad but how can you save tens of thousands in order to purchase that stuff when you get 100 gold from chests?
Snoufleur item stacks. They give a decent amount of gold and those monsters breed like rabbits. Emprise du Lion has them. It's slower than item dupe trick, but it's better than nothing.

Go here and scroll down to the appropriate section (the one that mentions the Storage Chest in the Undercroft). You should be able to figure out the rest...

What's funny is I did this before I even knew about the dupe glitch, but after patch 1 or 2 the snoufleur's started only dropping 4 to 6 leathers, before those patches I was getting 7 to 15 leathers from themSnoufleur item stacks. I think the programmers tried to up the raw material drops from monsters to compensate with the loss of Item dupe.
So should we be happy? It is free. And with the storage chest exploit allowing us to dupe items to make a lot of coin to spend at the Emporium..that you in the end allow us access to more than enough needed resources.
Don't think they are budging on the fade touched stuff however. But in the end we did get a couple of new things that make up for the loss of the dupe.

I was being sarcastic...one item at a time vs. doubling current amount which already took an effort to push myself to do is not a victory...more like a dying whimper
Meh. You can do it in rapid concession and get a lot of duplicates pretty fast. Then sell them.

I'll have to test it but if this was unintentional then they will patch this out as well.
My thread stands until it is allowed and commented on by the devs that at least this current dupe exploit will be left alone.
Pretty sure it will be. This seems like something as them making up for removing the other exploit.

I'm satisfied. Fade touched stuff is still annoying as **** but the only one I ever use is the Obsidian and Silverrite. Either one works fine for my Arcane Warrior siince he generates barrier with each of his strikes, while my Reaver is already decked out in both FT Obsidian and Silverrite.
So I am fine.

You think they'll add fade touched to BE in future?
No.
No.
So, I was curious and made a file to try the exploit because I was bored. I found an Amulet of Power for Bull and duped it many times. Fed him them while he was level 12 and I figure once I reach level 24 or 25, he'll have anything learned and a yellow arrow popping on his display pic when moving around on the fields even though he will have nothing else to learn. Didn't think clearly about this move. Sure, it makes my Bull super strong for this glitched playthrough but it allows me to test some builds. I will probably glitch some of my other characters as well just to see what else I could play as in my following playthroughs which won't be glitched at all. Though I have to admit, after 30 hours of gameplay I'm getting pretty bored of everything. My first playthrough was much more exciting, this one I'm just skipping through every scenes because I already seen them. Only thing I watch are my romance scenes and Qunari exclusive scenes.
Exploits can be a good thing for people like me who love to mess around builds and try different skills on the fly, however for people who like to have serious playthroughs I'd say it's best to avoid doing the Amulet of Power dupe thing and just focus on money duping instead, as you'll still unlock everything as you play. I'm thinking of maxing every characters on my third playthrough without using a single AoP and if the glitch is still around by then, I'll just use it again to power up my favorite characters beyond level 24-25. However, if there was a level cap raise in a following DLC and new skills, that would give me more reasons to play normally. Would be fun if the radial menu was redesigned to allow us to cast any skills we learned like DAO and DA2 on consoles. By now, I believe PC players deserve to have more skills as well on their skills bar. I figure modders already found a way to fix that issue.
I'm still having plenty of fun with Dragon Age, just for the wrong reasons. The only playthrough I really enjoyed was my first and I guess nothing will ever beat that feeling of "your first time".
I have a quick ?(sorry off topic), does the BE update its wares as you progress?
I bought the digital copy of DAI and the BE doesn't have any teir3 schematics(battlemaster, battlemage, and prowler), I guess I'm confused why these were not included(unless my BE is bugged out?)
Crafting mats are updated once you level up. Around level 10 it'll add infinite T2, around 16 100 on each T3 and 20 the dragon mats.
I've never seen main armor T3 schematics at the vendors. So my guess would be that they need to be obtained "oldschooly".
Because there was a discussion about gaining gold: My usual method is chest farming the two T3 boxes in the perk locked door in Valeskas Watch. Depending on your luck (gold vs. items, item value, schematics) you can gain 60-80k per hour and collect all T3 schematics for free. After the glitch fix I haven't found a faster and better way.
