Ahaha I guess I was overthinking it for Bioware then :P in which case, your idea makes sense :D I'd love to receive my own guests....next game, Bioware, please? ^.^

It would have been much more interesting and felt more alive if we could have actually spoken to all the nobles visiting Skyhold. Instead Josi did that for us and somehow that feels off. I imagine people would love to meet the Herald of Andraste/the Inquisitor, if only so they can brag about it later.

What's so baffling about it is that we had all that in DA:O - Awakening, with Vigil's Keep. It wasn't perfect but it at least gave you the impression that you were in charge.

So true. And it's weird - Josie will even tell you who's visiting, but it doesn't seem like you can talk to any of them.

Which makes it even more pointless that she gives you advice on how to handle them...

I wonder if it was something they intended to do, but ran out of time/funding for it. Who knows. Next game, I hope we see more done with it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had plans but no time for it. Skyhold certaintly gives me the feeling of things they wanted to do but for some reason couldn't.

It also leaves me with a bland PC that stumbles along a path picked out for them by others. I do not feel like I'm charge of anything.

Sometimes I wonder if my standards are too high. Most people seem to be fine with the stories, plotholes and all. It certaintly doesn't stop them from throwing money at Hollywood for producing movies without substance.

I think high standards good, up until every purchase feels like a waste. Fortunately, I think most people tend to avoid that level of judging. For me, as long as I get a sense that producers are at least trying to improve (whether by improving existing things or experimenting with different ideas), I'm happy to at least consider tossing my money at them :P and I hope that any purchases you make in the future regarding movies and video games feel like they were worth the time and expense ^.^

I ran out of likes, sorry. ^^

Yes, you are correct. I shouldn't stand in the way of my own fun. There are still games and movies that I enjoy, even if most of them are older.

BioWare is probably not 100% happy with DA:I either, at least I hope so. There is so much unused potential in this game, it's almost sad. Imagine what could have been if they had had more time.
