The details for it is found here http://blog.bioware....-patch-3-notes/

I notice that the game breaking bug in the Orlesian ball quest hasn't been fixed at all. I have been stuck in that quest since mid december, and I have tried to make the devs aware of it at regular intervals. I even tried posting it on the DA facebook page 4-5 times, but it keeps getting deleted by the moderators. Usually about 2-3 minutes after I ask about it. Bad publicity, I guess.

Since I was hoping Patch 3 would finally let me continue playing the game, I find myself being a bit disappointed.

I have noticed plenty others report this bug on the boards as well, so it is rather odd that Bioware would simply ignore this one. It is a big one, after all.

Any news on when Patch 4 will be out? I did pay a lot of money for this game and I want to be able to play it. Not too much to ask, I think.

Its when you chase the assassins during the Ball in Orlais. You run after that harlequin fellow, and when you arrive at the balcony, some cutscene is about to start. Tried 7 times or so. the cutscene never happens.

Several people have reported this one, but they have gotten around it. In their case it was a necromancy spell that kept an enemy alive and immortal (lovely design, Bioware) due to a panic effect. This is not the case for me though. I have no necromancers in my group during that quest. I am using Varric, Vivienne and Cassandra.

My biggest gripe about this isn't that I haven't been able to continue playing since December. But that Bioware actually deletes peoples posts on Facebook, when they are addressing bugs and asking for solutions.

Yeah. Before that I was stuck during the quest with Hawke. The conversations didn't progress.I was told to wait because eventually the conversations would continue. They never did. Actually had to pull out the power cord on the xbox one to even get out of the game. Had to restart the whole game. Reloading didn't help. 20 hours down the drain on that one, and my first playthrough ruined.

Started anew. Didn't run into the Hawke bug. Played for well over 50 hours and now I ran into this bug. Been stuck for over a month. Now this bug has been there since day one, and people have reported it since day one. 3 patches now and no fix for it. I think I want my money back now.

Haven't heard of this one either, suck. Just to ask the obvious question first of all to make sure its not something simple; You're not using a command line to unlock the cinematic framerate are you? ( That can do all sorts of unpleasant things with cutscenes ). Is there an enemy still standing around somewhere with no health bar? I've very very rarely had that happen and stop a cutscene from starting ( Well, okay it happened just once in all my play time ) and I guess its similar to the bug in MP. However, despite seemingly being immortal and having no health bar I was still able to blow it up with a few hits from non-targeted attacks and trigger the cutscene as normal.

Playing on Xbox One. Not using any command line :) I have tried 7 or 8 times. It is not something simple, believe me.The entire area is completely searched for any kind of problem. Even if I do manage to continue, my Court Approval has been shot to bits already anyway. Due to that wonderful idea about the Inquisitor missing from the party = approval drops.

There are no enemies around. Even if there were one, when the bug first happened, it wouldn't have happened all 7 or 8 times. Trust me. I REALLY looked all over the place.

Ohhh, X-Box One. Maybe its console specific? =/

If its console specific we might still get some console specific patch notes.

Could be. I do not fancy having to restart yet again, and just keep hoping the game won't get broken a third time. I have wasted 70 hours on the game so far. Done everything in 4 of the areas. No chance in hell I am doing all that again. And I am not skipping content either. I want a full playthrough. But 47 hours or something out of my 50 hours were nothing but fetch quests. No replay vallue in it. Just a huge pointless chore.

Maybe if Bioware hadn't deleted Posts and threads about this issue on their Facebook page all the time, someone might have found a solution to the problem. Or been able to tell people about the solution.

Bud, there is a serious bug in the game if u have necromancer in your group. Game breaking, it happened with me exactly at this part. If a magician use a possession spell and u leave the area, u go to the ground floor or to the first floor, the enemy who was possesed becomes an npc you cannot kill or interact with. Throughout the game u create immortal npcs but here blocks u to continue tbe story.

Only solution for this to deactivate and never use those 2 spells in the skill tree and restart tje chapter.not sure if it is the same problem u have but give it a try. Easy to check, if u reload yiur save u find enemies u cannot interact with in the garden, u have this problem.

I don't have a necromancer in the group. I have Vivienne. (look further up in the topic). And i also explained that I have searched the whole damn garden, 7-8 times. No enemies about.

The issue I am having might be in the same "alley" as the necromancer bug, of course. I dunno. It would help if Bioware simply replied when people ask about bugs, and not just delete the posts.

I also have another issue in the same quest and don't think it was adressed.

bit of spoiler maybe:

When you chase off whatshername to kill her, you can kill her and get the gates still closed, that fighting took a lot of time to beat, and i got a locked ****** door, exactly the same thing, like there was someone else to kill (i didn't have a necro in party). At least i had another save that i didn't need to fight her, but still, i wasted around 2-3 hours with this bug, it was pretty annoying.

I was hoping that the latest patch will address a fix for that disgusting tan pajamas issue, and to let us wear our regular armor in Skyhold.

The last two Dragon Age games had horrible bugs that made me put those games aside for at least a year.

Felt good too.

I'm not recommending you do the same OP, just sayin...

Yeah I should have done so too. Trouble is; none of the reviews reported any bugs at all. The game was described as flawless and the best rpg ever etc. Very odd.

The Hawke bug was cleared in patch 2 IIRC. I had the harlequin issue where it locked up I went back to a save before I even started that part of the mission and it cleared for me but I have to assume you tried that.

The Hawke one wasn't an issue when I restarted, so it was probably fixed in a patch, yes.

Ohh yes. Believe me I have tried that. Arguably not the most fun bit to replay in the game. Takes time.

I bet that necromancy bug was caused by Dorian, I've seen a number of times when I play with him, that enemies just stay upright and it holds up the quest or whatever your on from moving on. It's a shame too, as I like Dorian a lot as a character.

In my case it isn't Dorian, though. He isn't in my party.

Rawgrim - Have you been able to contact a Dev by a private IM or e-mail?.

It will be interesting to see if Rawgrim's problem is console only.  I wonder why Bioware is now publishing patch notes for PC (but not consoles).  Does Sony and Microsoft have a "gag order" up until the new console patch is officially released?

Nope. I haven't sent a Dev any PM or Email. I did post the issue on the DA Facebook page (5 times) but they deleted the post within 10 minutes or so. That is EA for you. Make sure nobody sees any "negativity" about their products. They do the same on their Fifa 15 page, actually.

Spirit Mark is a toggle. So you can hit it again to release the spirit and the mob will die. Which you should do at the end of a fight because its not like it follows you like a pet anyhow. In the case of Dorian the party AI doesn't toggle it off after a fight. Leaving it to expire on the skill timer which if you upgraded the skill is fairly lengthy.

Simply not picking Spirit Mark on Dorian solves the problem. Its not like Spirit Mark is that great anyhow.

You need to post your issue to the tech support forum (if you haven't already).

I guess EA/Bioware allows negative posts on BSN (where only "hardcore" visit), but are unwilling to accept negativity on a "more public" Facebook page.

Did you submit a complaint to EA Tech Services website / forum?
