After playing Inquisition twice in different playthroughs and reading up on the wiki regarding the prophet Andraste I notice some similarities between the two figures.

1) They came from mediocre if not humble backgrounds, one a slave the other a minor noble/circle mage/ dalish hunter/apprentice/ dwarven criminal/ qunari mercenary.

2) They were both seen as dangerous renegades and rebels by the current power, Andraste by the Imperium, the Inquisitor by the Chantry.

3) They had allies from all walks of life a horde of barbarians, elven slaves, zealous wich hunters etc, the Inquisition has many varied allies, companions and advisers.

4) They opposed the Tevinter Imperium in some shape or form. Andraste fought directly against it, the Herald against Corypheus, his Venatori, Red Templars and corrupted Grey Wardens.

5) They started in Ferelden. Andraste was born in Denerim, and preached about the Maker in Amarantine I believe?

The Inquisition begins in Haven, also in Ferelden and relocates to Skyhold on the Ferelden/Orlesian border.

6) They became figures of religious significance. Andraste became prophet of the Maker. The Inquisitor becomes Andraste Herald, willing or otherwise.

7) They both drastically altered the fate of the world.

Anyone else see it or is it just me? Did I miss anything?

Yes, it's not just you. I didn't do the research you did, but couple codex and conversations with Mother Gisele made me think about a pattern.

In a way you can see similarities in the Chant of the Departed as well:

"As the moth sees light and goes toward flame, She should see fire and go towards Light." (fits the very first scene)

and

"The Veil holds no uncertainty for her" (with Inquisitor going in and out of Fade at will)

Also if your inquisitor is female there's a conversation between Cassandra and the inquisitor. Cassandra says "like Andraste so long ago, a woman will determine the fate of Thedas."

Its intentional.  You are walking the same path.....

Spoiler

This is noticed by a lot of people and its not something Bioware is hiding.  It was definitely meant to parallel.

Nah, the allusions are pretty strong throughout. Also, I mentioned in another thread but I ran into a convo where the inquisitor is actually likened to the Maker and

romanced Josephine to Andraste....a step down from Andraste is the exact wording.

It sort of fits the "she who would be raised up from outcast to become his bride" line. I mean, considering her arc is about getting her & her family out of outcast status.

It's just you. With the sole exception of point 6 (becoming a religious figure) everything you mention is also applicable to the Hero of Ferelden and the Champion of Kirkwall.
