I have a feeling we're going to discover that the humans and elves are one and the same. There must be a reason why Alistair being a half-elf was included and I'd say it's so we learn that a half-elf is entirely 100% human.

Humans and elves are different species, and humans landed on Par Vollen over two millennium ago; the child of an elf and a human will be entirely human, which is implied to be due to magical reasons.

Maybe that's why Abelas says a civil war destroyed Arlathan - everyone was an elf at that point so it must have been a civil war.

Actually, the ancient human pyramids on Par Vollen depict horned giants - it seems humans came from the same place the Qunari did.

Alistair was turned into a half elf so they could shoe in little Mrs. Mary Sue, aka Fiona.

Since The Calling came out before Origins was even released, Alistair wasn't turned into anything. He was always imagined as such. It simply wasn't explicit about it.

The DA franchise has set up certain plot points in Origins that they seem to expand on in future games. In Origins we mainly had to deal with 4 groups to help us fight the blight the mages/templars, dwarves, dalish elves, and nobles. Each group was introduced in this game and not deeply explored because DA:O was about the blight. DA2 took the mages/templar story and expanded it in there game and introduced the qunari. DA:I resolved the mages/templar story and expanded on the elf story while introducing another grey warden story in anderfels. Maybe the next game if not dlc will resolve the elven story and then expand on either dwarf, qunari, or grey wardens.

lol what? just because the last third of DA I deals with the elven gods etc.
DA is somehow about elves?

DA is about the world of thedas first game explored Ferelden during a blight
second the mage templar conflict etc.
you just ignored all that it seems

I'm glad that DA isn't mainly about elves that would be annoying
Humans are better anyway (*in my opinion)

I was under the impression that the DA franchise was all about the Chantry, The templars and the mages. The same drama happen in all 3 games.

I disagree

Like I said, I will go back and play DAO and DA2 and pay more attention to codex entries regarding elves and magic.

I know that a lot of the elven focused stuff happened late game, but what was revealed changes everything about divine entities in Thedas. The fact that elven Gods isnt just myth but is fact changes a lot about what I thought about the Maker and the Chantry. And considering that ancient elves predates humans, it could change a lot about what is true about the true "creator" of the world and so on.

Perhaps replaying DAO especially would shed more light. While DA may go on to explore other stories such as the Tevinter/Qunari war, you cannot deny how greater elven/elven magic lore plays onto Thedas in the current and in the past.

dude the whole elven gods revelation is just Bioware setting up another conflict
DA is not about freaking elves but about the world of thedas and since we already explored the grey wardens, the mage templar conflict and the chantry its time for new things

you are interpretating too much
