They can't destroy the RPG any more than they did in ME2.

 

I rather enjoyed mass effect 2. The gameplay and graphics where amazing. So was the storyline. I wish to see this style 

in the future. But go back to mass effect 1's customization again.

They did go to mass effect 1's customization in ME 3. Heck, they *improved* on it. With the exception of choosing ammo, you get to choose two mods for each of the weapons you carry, and you have a wide range of weapons that actually *look* different and have different characteristics. That's a great improvement over Mass Effect and its "Everything's just a retextured version of the same model guns" and armor.

 

They even improved on armor customization, giving you a range of options that fit multiple playstyles, and armor that comes in modular sections so you don't have to have the whole suit of a particular style on.

 

I'm sure most players much prefer the simpler management of customization options in ME 3, over the time-wasting, boring, adds-no-value inventory management crap that you had to put up with in ME.

I've read that some dev said it's coming out in 2016? Is that true? I can't seem to find a source that is not tumblr, so I'm a bit skeptical.

No, it's just a guess. The game hasn't been announced yet.

 

The Montreal studios has probably been working on the game since late 2012/early 2013.

Development officially started November 2012 after the release of the Omega DLC, so it's been over 2 years with just some concept art to show for it. Guess we'll have to wait a while longer.

I been spending my days running around the normandy, the citadel and the clubs and game area around Shepards apartment.

Its been fun though. I wish there was more dlc coming in the meantime. I would love more activities to do such as mingling.

I hope like hell this is added and more brought to it in the next mass effect game. Alot of my free time though is spend turning

my femshep (cause after all who wants to stare at a dudes but all day while ur playing) o.o not me!  But I spend most of my time

in the gibbed editor trying to make my female character into what I wish my wife looked like hahaha! (Yea I know thats pretty messed up

but hey its something to do) Anyways woot Mass Effect! Bioware even though we in a rush to get the game out pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee

While waiting in line I actually met one of the DA:I devs at a coffee shop recently.  Conversation was struck since I was wearing my N7 hat.   When I asked about next ME, he said they would announce soon this year, and most of the focus would shift from DA:I to ME (however, he also mentioned though they have lots of content for DA:I SP/MP, so there's much to come our way).
