When I played the demo, I thought they intentionally cut large parts out of it. It felt like there were scenes missing but I chalked that up to it being a demo. I also thought they only gave us two dialogue options so we would still be surprised later 
. When I played the real game and everything was the same (including the odd lip syncing) I was very disappointed.

Yeah, the prologue was extremely rushed, notice how poorly the evacutation scene connects with the star of the mars mission, with Vega going from generic alliance armor to his casual outfit and acting completely oblivous to preceding scene with Anderson, as if he wasn't even there.

Was Vega there? I remember a generic Alliance guy and Virmire survivor.

The marine next to Ashley/Kaidan was supposed to be Vega. Hence In the very next scene he along with Shepard and Ashley/Kaidan are the only ones present in the cargo bay.

Uhm, that's an assumption, isn't it? I mean, Normandy has a bunch of other soldiers on board. And that marine did not look like Vega (not so bulky). And that very next scene takes place after about 2 minutes of showing Reapers landing and Normandy flying away. Plenty of time for that guy to return to his post.

I'm not sure, but isn't the order in which you pick companions what determines which one of them talks in certain scenes?
