Had this patched dropped right before the month-long vacation, there wouldn't be much to be disappointed by. But the fact that we waited as long as we did for a patch this anemic is very disappointing. BioWare needs to step it up.

Meh I am playing KB+M (on my 5th playthrough now) and I rarely use my mouse when exploring. I find it easy to move/loot/jump etc using the keyboard, but I was never one for click to move.

Just loaded up the game after applying the patch.

Joy.

All equipped shields had their armor value set to 0.

I have to admit, I've never totally understood the M+KB controls hate. There's a number of insane design decisions in this game that leave me wondering just how much ganja the devs got through over the course of the development, but M+KB controls? I found them alright. The only issue of note was that I had to assign my mouse thumb buttons to keystrokes in the control software, as there were no bindings for them in the game.

I also am fine with the M+K control scheme, though the lack of a walk toggle was a clear omission - and the fact that a player-made fix for this that includes walking speed and jogging speed (and is hence likely better than the patch-supplied solution) has been available for some time is a bit saddening.

Also, the lack of fixes for bugged abilities is puzzling. Verifying that an ability that is meant to work as a detonator doesn't detonate (or detonate for 1 damage) or that an ability that is supposed to be free instead costs energy, shouldn't be very difficult.

Thank you!  :D

Unfortunately, yep, really. I am not sure whether the bug is just cosmetic and displays a 0 while the shield still works fine, but I'm gonna get some new ones just the same.

Plus, I just noticed that the "Walk" toggle isn't a real toggle, at least not on my system. It turns walking on... but not off. If I want to run again, I have to quit to menu and reload my last save. Yay.

That's because people might eventually get used to the  'awkward controls'.

But it's very unlikely that people will get used to The Key MP bug or to the broken triggers that appear after spending like something like 50+ hours on PT.

People might get used to them that's true, however very few will ever have anything good to say about them or even enjoy using them. Also as soon as people stop playing and play another game then try DA:I again the issues return again however the desire to continue playing the 2nd time around is nowhere near as strong as the first.

is that why some had already managed to make a dozen of their runs? I feel for, you don't like the KM controls and Maker forbids you to buy a 20$ gamepad. Happens, I guess....Still not a reason to prioritize reinventing the UI over the game-breaking and progression-stopping bugs, though.

Depends on how adaptive you are and what games you've played so far.

Here's what was said just before the last patch was released:

After Patch 2 goes out, our next priority is to improve the PC mouse/keyboard controls further. We’re investigating how to expand on PC usability and functionality to address specific requests from the community. Keep an eye on this thread by Mark Darrah for more updates.

Given that improving keyboard/mouse controls was their "next priority", I am extremely disappointed in the Patch 3 notes. Here's what I want to see fixed:

* Tactical Camera zoom level is now an option. The camera can be zoomed out much further than before.

* In Tactical Camera, characters can be drag-selected to select multiple characters and issue commands, ala the Infinity engine games.

* Hitting "R" to attack is "sticky", so I don't have to spam it. Once I press R, my character will continue to attack the target until I give him a new order. He'll also automatically move around to be in range of the target.

* Do something about the horrible search thing. Make it a toggle. Don't force me to press V all the time.

* Pressing LMB+RMB at the same time should make my character run.

Yes how could I not be disappointed by the third patch worked on, tested, and released by the few employees who took paid overtime while 90% of their colleagues had a long relaxing post-release vacation which most have just returned from.

So. Much. This.

Just invest in a 360 pad. I play on my couch. Isn't that the dream?

Take 1 step in that direction and get the 360 pad rather than being hunched over a keyboard at your desk. I play all my PC games like this; in fact, i'm disappointed if they don't have 360 pad support because then I have to move into my office. If you look at the direction gaming is going in, it will prioritize consoles so it's a 100% worthy investment.

No, I much prefer to sit in a desk chair. When I had a 360, I even hooked it up to my computer monitor so I could play it at a desk.

Couches suck.

I too prefer being up close with a desk chair and a screen. Lounging on a couch with a faraway tv tends to make me feel disconnected from a game rather than in the middle of things.

You just need a bigger TV! ;)

The PC gaming on a 50" in the living room just makes sense, just melting in my couch with legs up on the ottoman. Plus, I don't have cable, I just internet/netflix all my shows/movies.

They should take a look at WoW or SWTOR and just copy their stuff. Should not be too complicated I hope.

When you have to get a hype man to announce an incoming announcement you can only wonder what the **** are they going to screw up now more than what is actually going to get fixed. And then broken because it's a rushed patch
