Hello, I read Patch 3's preliminary notes, and while it addressed most of my concerns for singleplayer and multiplayer, I noticed that there wasn't any news about increased Staff drop rates or more cloth being salvaged from items other than Staves.
As it is in this game, Multiplayer items recycle into too much metal (Iron specifically) and not enough cloth. Leather seems just right. It's also odd that many non-warrior items (including Staves) drop metal in addition to the class-specific material they drop, but that nothing besides Staves (and runes and mage armor upgrades) drop cloth. I would very much like to see other items besides Staves drop some cloth now and then too.
Also, since all 4 mages use Staves instead of 2 using 1 type of weapon and 2 using another, I feel that Staff drop rates (Which apparently are equal in drop rate to every other kind of item individually) are MUCH too low, and that Staves should drop twice as often to compensate for the fact that it's the only weapon all the mages use. It's not like with other classes, who have 2 types of weapons they can use, all of which recycle into their class's crafting material.
Everyone is cloth starved, and many people are staff-starved (the highest level Staff I've ever gotten is a level 15 gray item) so it'd be good to add this fix to the patch if it's still possible.
