I'm so used to Stephane Cornicard voicing major badasses like Riordan or Stroud, etc, hearing him voicing some aloof scholar with absolutely no self-preservation instinct whatsoever was kinda endearing. 

 

He's the type of dude who would just avoid getting eaten by a dragon and shout 'OMG FASCINATING LOOK AT ITS TEETH' :S

 

I'm hoping they bring Frederic back in the sequel. Not necessarily as a character, though that would be great, but in a Brother Genitivi role. Any codex entries on Dragons, dragonlings, wyverns (are they related?) ect...should be written by Frederic in the next game.

Ser Barris is awesome and all, but I am not sure If one could pin him under the "random NPC" catagory considering he does play a relatively important role as the leader of the templars if you recruit them.
