I just finished A Company of Heroes, and went back to talk to Sutherland at the tavern.

I forgot to save ahead of the conversation, so I just picked, "Sponsor someone like you," thinking that it might result in a new agent or something else down the road.

Has anyone tested all three responses? I don't assume the gold reward for accepting the gift is overly high, but I am curious as to how much it was.

Sutherland becomes the protagonist of his own adventure and leaves after Inquisition if you tell him to sponsor someone else. Don't know about the other choices.

I've always picked "sponsor someone like you" also, because it just seemed like the most encouraging answer for such a great, enthusiastic character. After you beat Corypoo, you get one last conversation with him and I'd love to get to see him again someday (as long as he doesn't have to die or something tragic).
