The Mirror at the black cauldron was a godsend in DA2. Having to replay the intro 5 times till I'm happy with my Inquisitor or having one very small thing be off but enough to annoy and not being able to fix it unless I start from scratch is the worst. I don't know why it wasn't included in the base game since the assets are all there, but will there at least be a chance of it in DLC?

"The Black Cauldron"? I think you mean the "Black Emporium".
From what I've gathered from official material, including recent, they have cofirmed they are working on it. My guess is we'll likely see it in DLC similar to the Black Emporium from DA2.
